I use this method alot and because I have naturally curly hair and hate sitting under the dryer I do blow dry my hair with an "andis" brand blow dryer with infrad heat which doesnt make my hair frizz and then I take my chi to it and it silks it out like no other you may think it is too much heat but once again the chi flat irons use "good" heat the heat that is good for your hair it does not burn the hair like a traditional flat iron it's ceramic plates do it all. and dont be decieved by the cheap knock off's or ceramic coated flat iron that is a waste of money

I've airdried my hair and curled like this without blowdrying and it came out beautiful. It didn't take long at all with my Solia. At least compared to the times when I used to press my hair. Blow drying isn't necessary if you have the right iron.
Ok ladies.. I have changed my philosophy about blow drying. I just spent hours flat-ironing my hair for the first time in 1 month and I air-dried instead of blow drying. It came out like a blow dry and took way too long. I think if I blowdry and flat Iron once a month, Ill still be ok.
To whom much is given, much is expected.
