Ok I want this color

I got it on the wella color chart on sallybeauty.com

This is my color right now. This is my natural color, I've never done anything to it so it's really healthy.

I live right by a Sally Beauty, I've never been in there though, lol, so I don't know anything about hair color. Can someone please tell me exactly what I need to buy? Is this just a hair dye that I put in my hair? Because from what I've read here, buying stuff at Sally's works better. I want the hair color Paris Hilton has

, and all the salons in LA charge sooo much money and I just don't have it right now. thanks!

I know someone with color a little bit darker than yours naturally and she doesnt bleach at all.she just uses a light blonde shade to get that color.Your is so light already that you shouldnt need to bleach. Why dont you get the color you want from sally's and do a strand test.I'll bet you get the color you want.Make sure you do a strand test no matter what you decide.Your blonde looks very warm and golden. You might end up brassy.Buy the color, try a small amount. If it doesnt work you wont be out much. But I'll bet it will turn out very nicely.Plus I think a white blonde will look very pretty on you.

U are lucky to have hair already so light ...lol anyway if i were u i would use a light ash blonde make sure it has ash cuz i see that ur hair has naturally gold tones so this will help counter any possible brassiness.

U could get that exact shade which u displayed from sally's along w/ either 30 or 40 vol. developer (this is an alternative to bleach and w/ hair that light u prob don't need to!)...Bare in mind u should do a strand test first just to be sure...also i would try to go w/ the 30 first since 40 is too harsh to use on the scalp, and if the strand test is successful then u should go ahead w/ coloring...good luck!

I used to do that...first let me say your natural color is so pretty!  I'd always go natural if I were you!  But, if you really want to do it, you'll need a level 10 or 11 platinum blonde with a "violet" base.  Your hair has some yellow in it and the violet will counter that to make it more white.  You'll also need some developer to mix it with.  I'd go for 30 volume.  The instructions are on the dye bottle.  You can usually leave it on up to 45 minutes (or whatever the bottle says to do, so you probably want to test strand the time, to make sure you get what you want.)

thanks guys :) well actually I usually take pictures in my bathroom because the lighting makes me look tan, lol, it looks kind of golden there but it's really more like this in daylight, I just took a picture by the window

So I'll get

30 volume developer and the color I want, and that's it?

My friend had natural dark blonde hair, and bought light blonde hair dye at the store and it turned her hair light orange, I just don't want that to happen to my hair.

Also, is doing this really damaging to my hair? and does anyone know if those hot oil treatments really work?

Yes u should get the color w/ the 30 vol...the reason ur friends hair tunred out that way is because one she's a dark blonde, and two, those OTC dyes, the most they have is 20 vol. which isn't really enough to properly lighten the hair. Of course a strand test is something everyone should do before putting any color on the whole head...better safe than sorry rite?

This is def. better than bleaching the hair thats for sure! The only way u can cause a lot of damage is if u were to color the rest of the hair every time u needed a root touchup. Remember only the roots! Of course u can refresh the by combing it thru the last 5 mins. But u should also get a shampoo for light blonde hair, maybe john frieda, which will keep the color fresh.

As far as hot oil treatments go, i hear they really strip color from the hair, which is really more of a problem if ur a dyed redhead like me! ..Just intensive conditioning each week should be adequate.

thanks for helping :) is there a certain intensive conditioner you recommend? I'm going to Sally's later tonight, is it really confusing finding all this stuff if you've never been there before?

I have to say you are very beautiful, you look alot like Scarlett Johansson. I would start off with some bright blonde streaks/hilites first to see how you like it.

Your right it looks alot more ash toned in natural light.Indoor lighting can look really harsh in pics which explains the gold warm tones seen in the first pic.Yeah your hair is really light naturally.this should be a snap. You'll definitely be able to wear white blonde and well.I just cant stress enough to do a strand test.I think it will work great.I'm no stylist but I dont think you will need a high volume developer. Why dont you try it first with a lighter volume like 20. The 30 and 40 are meant for faster lightening I'm pretty sure. And faster doesnt mean better.Plus your hair is in good condition I'm sure you dont want to jeopardize that.even going a couple of shades lighter is damaging.Bleach or not.Test first. You'll be glad you did.

No prob...it's usually a pretty big bottle, normally white thats say 30 volume on it...I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all (lol) but i strongly recommend 30 vol, Longhairdreams cause 20 vol doesn't lift as much as 30 does, i would've recommended 20 if it was bleach tho.

Malibu...before u go to Sally's if u look at the website u can see what the devloper looks like before hand www.sallybeauty.com click on hair, and then haircolor, and there will be another category that says developers and peroxide...this should help.

Happy coloring!

well I bought the stuff, and right now I'm like 18 minutes into the strand test. I cut off like 1/4 inch of hair to my root in the back of my head and taped it to a plate, I don't know if that's how you do strand tests but yeah right now it looks sooo good :) I can't wait for all my hair to be this color, it's already like light light blonde, I don't want it to be white though

I wouldn't worry abt it turning completely white lol, that usually requires the use of a violet toner...be sure to post pics of the end result! Did u use the "Nordic Blonde" shade? How fun!

the color you want has a lot of blue undertones. i personally think the
goldish hair you have now is very flattering to your skin.

oops forgot about this :) anyway I liked how it turned out, but I don't think I did the bottom enough because it's kind of orangy, but it doesn't look too bad. Here's what it looks like

The only thing I don't like, is that I look sorta washed out, but I like the light color. I don't really tan too well. Is there anything I can do to get the orange out on the bottom? Would I have to dye it again?
