bg is rite.. going against the grain makes the cut a lot faster and closer which is why most barbers prefer to do it that way...however the fear is not a myth... if u want ur waves to be at their best.. go wit the grain and in the 360 pattern

Yeah the cutting against the grain fear is just a myth. I cut my hair against the grain while I was away from home just because it was faster and I knew it would be even all over. Against the grain just gives you a closer cut and it's what I have in most of my pics.
If you have a well defined wave pattern you can grow it out to produce a natural curl pattern that will last much longer than a kit. While I was growing my hair for 6 weeks I wore it in curls for the last two weeks then went right back to waves once I cut it.
when i got my cut for a light ceasar i tried against the grain i forgot
to tell you guys and when he brushed it down it was ok i wa slike ehhh
but then i came home and brushed they were more defined. now i know you
uys sayd against the grain is bad but if waves are just curls how? if
any of you guys grew your hair out you know the intermediate before you
can pick it out but you can't brush it yet-- you know when when you
brush the other way its 10X curlier
oo and i got this serum at sally's thas real good at bringing ya waves
out...i put it in and in light-gets you sea sick--even w.o deep
waves...its glossing polish by silk elements--it also moisturizes your
hair!

yeaaaa i got a light cut today and i see the waves & they startin
on the top i got my s curls...still have them on the right side but its
comin together:) back & left side all gravy good looks guys!

its a fact..go ask some lady at a sallon that works there..or ask someone who knows alot bout hair...ask ya mom if she knows alot she will tell u..its also common sense..like i said if every side had the exact same texture dont u think they will all come at the same speed..?with even brushin?its common sense man..most people have the worst texture on their right side thats why it takes longer there..juss cuz it looks the same all over dont mean it is actually the same..
look here..u have different textures through out ya hair..everyone does..so its impossible for one all sides to come in at the same time..certain sides will come in quicker ..
not sayin u dont noe wat u talkin about..but toche..how can u prove that EVERYONE has diff textures throughout their hair?
ok i been brushing about half hour now and i got a #2 cut about 2 weeks
ago is that alright? with a soft brush and yea i keep it moiturized
with my pink lotion and i spray it (mixed wit water) when i have my
durag or wave cap on...2-3 months dor deep spinnin? how long to just
see 360's?
look here..u have different textures through out ya hair..everyone does..so its impossible for one all sides to come in at the same time..certain sides will come in quicker so if u see waves already then u seein results..wutelse do u want..there is no such thing as how long it will take..it comes when it comes..juss remember to stick to a pattern repeat everyday..ya hair will get used to it quick n adapt..also stick to one brush..waves dont come connected..they come crooked..u tryna go to far ahead of ya game man..juss do a meth n brush everyday n they will come whenever they do..as for haircuts i suggest to get a light ceasar..u will see more waves that u didnt even know u had..dark ceasars r for deep n defined waves..its also good to start trainin it when low so when u get a low cut it shows up with no problem n doesnt wash away when u wash ya hair..if that happens it will be back when it gets longer..
