at a beauty supply store, or any store that sells hair products. i can't really explain how it feels other than its softer than a hard brush and harder than a soft brush. your best option is to go to a couple of beauty suppy stores and feel all the brushes, thats the best way to figure out whats hard, medium, soft, or ultra soft.

look for hollywood, annies, wave brush, and sallys.
Holla at ya boy BK/QN finest. My waves is so lethal makes you sick to death.

none of the brushes at the store i go to say if the brush is hard,medium or soft on the brushes. you gotta go by the feel, feel all the brush and you should be able to figure out whats hard, medium, and soft.
