QuoteReplyTopic: Problem: Itching? Posted: July 05 2005 at 3:18pm
Hello all! Hope everyone is healthy and feeling good! I have a problem that I just noticed. Last night I was up late just watching tv and I noticed my scalp was itching like crazy! I know I shouldn't have scratched it. But I do have a very dry scalp so I began to moisterize w/ my usual Pink Lotion. It felt better, but then it itched again! So I massaged it w/ my fingers, but I soon began scratching it, which caused a hot, paining sensation So I got up and put some water on it and wrapped it up in a scarf and it felt normal. What could this have been and why did it happen? My hair isn't dirty, very clean, just washed it two days ago, and I haven't worn anyone else's hat, lol, so what could be the case? Is it just too dry or what? Please help and thanks! God bless

Yes, I think it may be the Pink Oil clog buildup. Yes, I've used it almost everyday. So what do I do? Renee- my shampoo is the Fantasia Tea Tree Naturals shampoo. It's pretty good though and I haven't had any problems w/ that lately. So I think it's probably the Pink Oil. Should I wash my hair again and use another type of oil?

if the itching has stopped maybe you shouldnt wash until your next wash day. and if you dont have a dry scalp, you dont need to oil your scalp. the only oil i would advise to put on the scalp is jojoba....
Yes, I did use it on my scalp and hair. My mom has some carrot oil (which really stinks! ), but I think it's just the thing I need. I'll try it out manana

You know what I did to find out what was making my scalp itch? I would drop the products that used one by everyday to find out what it was. Come to find out I can't use high amounts of protein in my hair.
I do agree with the other ladies regarding the Pink oil moisturizer. Stop using it for 2-3 days and see what happens.
What I also use for when my scalp itches is I have a spray bottle filled a concotion of distilled water, glycerin, EVOO and pepermint oil. This is very refreshing.

I have bad scalp itching myself, but apparently I have eczema all over my scalp... I've found that Jojoba plus Sweet Almond Oil makes everything better, at least for a day or two. Oh, well. Any excuse for a scalp massage.
