QuoteReplyTopic: HELP! Hair Dye Help! Posted: July 06 2005 at 9:59pm
Hello. My hair is naturally a medium brown color. For years it has been lighter because of Sun-In and the sun. Today I decided to dye my hair back to its natural color. I got a dye but it is only level 1 (washes out in 6-12 washes). My mom did it and everything went great except one thing. A strand of hair on each side of my face turned a greenish-yellow color. The rest of my hair is fine. Why did just those two strands change that color? Can I fix it? How? Please help!! Thanks.

You need to get a purplish red/auburn to color just those strands, I suggest getting a demipermanent color. Get a tint brush. You'll only need to mix up a small amount of the color.
It'll fade, but you can safely recolor as often as you need to.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
thanks for the tip...i went to a salon today and they fixed it...they just dyed my all my hair medium brown again (this time it is permanent). it looks good except there is a little reddish tint to it. someone (not from the salon) told me that that it will go away. is that true??

I still have "reddish" tint on the roots of my hair where it was bleached/colored/bleached which had turned orange/white/grey, i've had 2 treatments of "semi" color brown, its better this time but I still see a bit "reddish" on the strands where they really put too much bleach then color then bleach then color........ it never ends..... i'm brown again!!
