It's supposed to have hydrating properties, which means it may keep your hair moister. There isn't anything that can stop your hair from shedding, as long as you're not doing something really wrong.

[Acquired] proximal trichorrhexis nodosa causes the hair to fracture and fall out near the scalp,[acquired] proximal trichorrhexis nodosa is caused by [guadine hydroxide]no lye perm,[sodium hydroxide]lye perm,[ammonium thioglycate]wavy perm, and selenium sulfide[some dandruff shampoos contain selenium sulfide].Please press search and read my posts.Acquired trichorrhexis nodosa isn't bubble hair because it doesn't cause a bead in the hair.

This is "bubble hair", a scientific name for the little white dots that form where a hair is about to break. It has nothing to do with hair loss. Take care of your hair through proper moisturizing, conditioning, and application of oil, and you can minimize this effect.

I agree, MSM eliminated a lot of the problems I had w/ shedding. Also, for me it seemed to make my hair strands thicker. A topical solution for shedding that works well for me is the Surge 14 spray and keeping my hair thoroughly moisturized.

If you use the surge make sure to follow up with an oil or moisturizer so you don't dry out your hair. But if you get the new and improved version of the surge 14, it's suppose to be more moisturizing.

I agree w/ applying moist. due to the protein in Surge, although it hasn't caused any dryness for me. I've tried both the old formula & "new improved" one w/ no problems.
