Bright auburn to reddish blonde - bad?

The prob w/ feria is that its a metallic dye and even if u tried something like colorfix to remove it rather than bleach chances are it will just re-oxidise back to the original red color.

You, like me, are a spontaneous dye junkie i think (lol) so be careful next time when u color ur hair, be sure that the color u want is something u are sure abt since haircolor is kinda like a relationship where u have to be committed if u don't wanna cuz damage, otherwise ur hair will "lash out" at u if u are too much of a playa'

I guess that's a neat way to put it but yeah maybe u should just consider hilights like KB suggested. It really can make all the difference...just something to ponder with if u're really in need of a change!

Why don't you try a few highlights if you're so bored with the auburn?  That might just give you the lift you need so you don't get tempted to do something stupid like try and bleach Feria out of your hair. 

Just an idea...and make sure to see the colorist for the highlights.

Color does not lift color (there may be a few minor exceptions, but Feria does follow this rule).  The odds are that only your roots will change color.

Feria may be tricky.  I'm not absolutely sure this is true, but about 75% of the hair people I know claim Feria is a metallic dye, meaning that Feria+bleach=disaster.  Also, color strippers may or may not work.  You could call L'Oreal and ask them if it is a metallic dye and if it is safe to bleach over Feria.  However, I would hate for you to trash your hair.

If L'Oreal says it is safe to bleach over Feria, then try a strand test and see what color you get and what condition your hair is in afterwards.  If you want to go blonder, you will have to use something stronger than color to lighten your hair.  If it's a fairly light red right now, then you don't need color stripper.

My guess is that it won't even show over your present color.

I have been a bright auburn (L'oreal Féria Sunset Blaze 77) for three
months now but am looking for something new. I am interested in a
shade of reddish brown, preferrably L'oreal Feria Blush Blonde 94. Since
my hair is chemically red, it will come out with redder results - but what
are the estimated chances of it backfiring and turning my hair a horrible
orange-yellow? I've used Féria for a year now and it has given me
nothing but great results... if that counts for anything. Thanks!
