The fat wide brush that you have been using is still good. Keep using it. The skinny one is OK but you will get more out of one stroke with the wide brush than you will with the skinny one. The key is to brush more hair with less work.

Its normal for the bristles to slant. The reason why that happens is because you probably always brushing with that brush in one direction. As long as the bristles aren't falling out The brush is still good, here's a few things you can do:
1. brush with the brush in the opposite direction the bristles are leaning in. You can do this by switching hands, or flipping the brush around in the opposite direction, or start brushing a different part of your head(example: if you been brushing you top for a long time with your right hand you can switch to brushing your top with you left hand, or you can start brushing you back or you right side with your right hand and that will make the slanting bristles go in the opposite direction.
2. You can use the palm of you hand and push the bristles back straight.
3. or you can go ahead with using that other brush but I think you should try the the first 2 tips before going to that other brush.

well currently i am using an annie hard brush similar to that
except its a lighter version. well my bristles at the back of my brush are starting to like slant alot. does this mean i need a new brush?? Ok, i dont have another bursh like the one below, and prolly wont be able to get one, so i was wondering since i have the skinny brush below, will it work just as the fat hard brush, because they both are hard brushes, the 2nd one is just skinnier, but all the bristles are straight. And my fat ones bristles isnt that hard anymore and the bristles are starting to slant. i was wondering if i used the skinny hard one, would it give same results as a regular brush?
