Fusion Chip Install/RK Hair

   OK, I'm *almost* done with my fusion chip install. I used RK #22, #8, and #27, and some of the virgin hair that I bleached.
To blend, I laid the 3 wefts on top of each other with the ends in the same spot, kind of mixed colors together, and cut individual strands, containing 1, 2, or 3 colors.  The tip below is a sample of one of the mixes.  

I heated up the fusion chip on the wand. I mostly use 1 chip/strand, except for very small strands that might show. I kind of opened and closed the wand until the chip was very liquid:

I put the hair into the wand, getting the glue all over the hair tip:

I trimmed the tip so it was nice and neat:

I *was* able to create tips like this using PlastikHaar as well; I just "dabbed" the glue on using the wand, opening and closing it quickly. 
I installed the tip while still warm (just after cutting), and if it needed it, I touched it up with the wand and rolled it again.
This is kind of a bad picture, I'm still working on the back - and I didn't really style it either today - so I'm having some blending issues with my wavy/fuzzy hair at the crown - but I will post pics when I have improved the situation!!

I really enjoy working with these chips. I had been jacking around with pretipping with latex but it gets sticky and does compromise the bond, about 2 weeks later. Will report how these chip-only bonds wear, come out, etc. I have high hopes! This is the closest I've gotten to a good Great Lengths install this year. IMO it's actually BETTER than some of the installs that I paid upwards of $1200 for.
