Hard, hard to manage, nappy are all negative words and phrases that are used to describe tightly curled hair.

Coarse hair is just dry damaged hair that hasn't bee cared for properly. If you take nappy hair and treat it as if it were your so highly coveted "good hair" then you wouldn't think so poorly of it.

I could go on but I can't undo your brainwashing.

coarse hair is actually an asset because it has texture. it is strong, but often hard to process. hair texture can be diff through out a persons head so u might have coarse hair on the top, and fine hair in the back.

Now you're catching on!  It's a few out there paying attention.

I know I have not wasted my time posting threads about "The History of African American Hair" http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=33037& amp; amp; amp;PN=2 and "Dark skin Brothers Hair" http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=29398& amp; amp; amp;PN=1

This is hilarious. Before I posted anything everyone was calling course hair the worst of the worst. Then I drop some knowledge and all of yall jump ship...

The Chosen1 once you realized who I was you changed your perspective. You disagreed with my first response then after I restated it you agreed with me.

You're negative thoughts and sentiments about traits common with blacks is completely understandable...it's America. Everyone wants to be black, but no one wants to be black. You like being able to have waves, but you don't want the coiled dry hair that comes with it.

i personally, knew that coarse hair wasnt a bad thing. i have coase hair, and i think its good. everybody was sayin nappy n stuff. so i had to state my views. u have fine hair, medium hair, and coarse hair. to say one is better than the other is to compare them to skin tone and pigmentation, and say lighter is better than darker.
