Mine swerves too. I have "bendy" rather than wavy hair. It really is lovely--I never realized "bendy" hair was attractive until I cut all mine off and then found old pictures. Your hair sounds great. Bendies of the world unite!
You describe your hair as if it were a bad thing.... To me it sounds like normal wavy hair. Maybe find an alcohol-free styling product if you don't like the way your hair behaves.
