You can not go wrong with a Sedu from Folica.com. I have tried alot! of flat irons, even the $350 Bioionics one, and nothig compares to my Sedu. Do not buy those cheap flat irons (Remington, Conair etc) They will damage your hair, and the results do not come close to those with a high quality iron. The Chi flat irons short out before they are a year old,  and good luck if you happen to accidentaly drop it. You can get the reviews for several different irons at Folica.com and see for yourself what other people have to say about them.

HAI 2, it has 4 heat settings and an automatic infrared heat sensor that switches off/on the heat if the iron get to hot

GHD and CHI are supposed to be really good. The only problem is that they tend to be expensive.

I use a Conair one.  But if anyone else knows a stragihter that is really good and doesnt ruin your hair and is ceramic......can you please tell me?? And can you tell me where you can get it from too? Thank You
