QuoteReplyTopic: the most horrible skin in the world Posted: August 09 2005 at 4:07pm
I have had acne ever seens I was 9 yrs old and i am 14 yrs old. it has gradually became worse and worse and WORSE! I have blackheads, whiteheads and the big read ones on my cheeks chin and forhead and I also have scars. It is sooo frustrating. Does anybody recomenned anything that can work on the most horrible skin in the worldPlease help me
First you should probably go see a dermatologist, because if its as bad as your describing it I don't think buying anything over the counter would give results you'd like. Perhaps you'd need perscribed medication (it's what my brother got and his skin is clearing up dramatically!).
If you want to get rid or your blackheads&white heads now I suggest going into a beauty or a spa center. Ask for a facial clean up where they use a certain kind of steam on your face to open up your pores, and they scrap out all the black/white heads. I had it done last summer in Asia, and yes if it's your first time with the steam (as was mine) it stings and the scraping hurts aswell. But it'll be all worth it. I didn't have a lot, but my face got cleaer. But this is just my suggestion, maybe someone else will have something more helpful.
Anyways hope the above helped some, goodluck.

I think that we have given you all the advise we have on the last 3
threads you have posted on the same subject. Have you tried any of the
things that were recommended?

You have to be patient when using products like proactive. What they to
is "bring everything out" and your skin will get worse in the begining.
Its like that with most treatments.
How long have you been using proactive? If its only a litel time?;
What i suggest is that you try using proactive abit longer, say one or
two months and if it still isnt getting any better stop using it.
If you have given proactive a chance I think you should try a really
soft facewash without any perfumes added. Also try eating alot of
vitamins. Vitamin E is great for scar healing and to "activate" this
also eat a stronger dose of vitamin c. And drink alot of water.
Perhaps you really should try going to a doctor? They can proscribe
medication to help you. They are not by far as expencive as seing a
derm and getting peels.
Best of luck. If you want to you can pm me and i can try to help you more. I know what a pain acne can be...

thank you very much for you are so sweet. I have been using proactive for about 5 weeks I didn't know that I will probably stay on it for a nother month. and go to a docter. Yuo guys at this sight are so helpful. i love all of you. all I drink is water I take vitmins and exercise 5 days a week. nothing is making it completly go away. Thank you for being so helpful and taking the time to write me!
I'm sorry you're still having trouble. Not only may the proactiv take a little while, but I've found its very important to use the cleanser (step 1) for the full 2 minutes. Try to count to 120, or get one of those 2 minute timers...its a pretty long time and its easy to quit too early, especially if you're pressed for time, but it does make a difference.

If you're working out alot make sure you wash your face and shower as
SOON as your done. When I work out and wait like just half an hour to
shower my back breaks out, so I have to jump in the shower right away.
A friend of mine bought me some stuff called Bio oil when she came back
from england, its supposed to work on scars and stuff. i used it on the
dark post-zit marks that I got and it helped them get smaller and now
they are little dots so hopefully theyll fade away completely soon. I
think the website is Bio-oil.com.
Have you looked into face mapping? Dermalogica does it, I think. If you
find a facialist who is trained with Dermalogica products she could
probably help. I took a quick lesson in that when I was doing
aromatherapy and it helped me alittle. Basically its like
different parts of your face correspond to different parts of the body
and stuff.I was breaking out on my forhead(i think it was the digestive
system) but once I started eating more fruits and veggies it cleared
up.
And try to use the proactive, my dermatologist gave me some acne gel
but it took about 7 weeks before I noticed a difference. And keep
drinking lots of water, that really helps!
Another thing I noticed makes a difference along that line is change
your pillowcase every two days at least (even if you just flip your
pillow over to the unused side). Makes a big difference for me.
