QuoteReplyTopic: Doing quasi-boinks for PH hair? Posted: August 30 2005 at 11:49pm
Er, I have a problem! I need to find out how Amm did her quasi-boinks
for her PH; she posted photos in May, but those are the only photos on
this site that don't come up for me!! (maybe cuz i have an apple
computer and make the sign of the cross to keep Microsoft at bay? but
i'm sure lots of other people here have posted stuff from their PCs and i
see them just fine, so i don't think that's it)
Anyone who can post the "how to" photos again or write a description of
how to make the quasi-boinks for sleepy-time? More of a visual
person, but I'll take what I can get!
Everyone here has been so WONDERFUL in providing me info to get
started.... I can't wait for the day when I can post pics of my hair and say,
"I owe it all to YOU!"
Mwah!

I have not been able to do a boink and make it stay in through sleep. I havent figured out how to secure it right I think? You cant view Amms photos because I think she removed most of them due to the damn photo thieves. But Im sure she will email it to you privately if you ask her.

Yeah, that crossed my mind since i've seen so many people here have
problems with pic thieves... when i finally post, I'll have to find a way to
watermark 'em. Thanks for the tip!
$#&!*@ thieves. I couldn't wear the boinks up high with that install. The length was actually below my butt so I had to do sidesaddle boinks. If you have a favorite side to sleep on, sweep all your hair onto the opposite side you lay on and do the boink there. A lot less scruffing against the pillow that way. It's just a matter of twisting the hair and then rolling it up. Take care not to bend the ends or you'll have, well, bent ends. Use two or three scrunchie things to hold the boink if you have to. And if you want tighter waves, section the hair two or three times and give them their own twist and boink. Here's the boink pics and resulting wave from them.
