On the box of the bottle of Monoï from Yves Rocher it is written :

Genuine Tahitian Monoï. A legendary Tahitian beauty secret, monoï is created
by steeping Gardenia flowers in nutritive coconut oil, a well-know skin softening agent.
Traditional Gardenia oil
Contains over 50 % of true Monoï of Tahiti, to protect your skin from
drying and make your hair glossier. Use it daily as a massage oil,
a hair conditionner, or tip a capful in your bath to soften your skin.

Ingredients : coconut oil, tiare ( Gardenia ) flowers, mineral oil, fragrance,
tocopheryl acetate ( vit.E) , butylparaben.

100 ml .

I hope it will help you to know .
Maybe , I'll make mistakes in my sentences, I usually speak French. But this site is great and I love it !

I have read that Yves Rocher monoi oil is not in the pure form. They add artifical ingredients and mineral oil.

Does the Yves Rocher monoi oil contain mineral oil ? I`ve tried emailing Yves Rocher for the ingredients but they never reply back. Don`t want to order if it does and be stuck with it.

Another source to buy Monoï oil is at Yves Rocher Company.
They sell a 100 ml bottle for $14.00 ( full price) but they often offer
products at special price. ( Monoï de Tahiti, traditional gardenia oil )
(CDN price)

I can second the monoi oil comment. I think it is a terrific conditioner and it has done wonders for the four people I know that have used it. One had a perm that had severely dried her hair out and the monoi oil made a HUGE difference in the condition of her hair. I used to recommend jojoba oil (and I still use it on occasion) but find monoi works even better.

You may be able to find it in a health food store near you, that is where I find it here. It is worth the search.

You might check the Alternative Therapies board, Merlin posted several conditioning recipes using home products that work very well (I`ve tried a couple of them.)

Good luck and happy conditioning. ;)

I find the Phytothérathrie (Phytologie) products to excellent and you can order them from the marketplace on this web site.

I have some clients that really love Aubrey Organics. However, some find them a bit heavy for their hair so it depends on your hair type. They are 100% natural products and I do like the Blue Green Algae Hair Mask. Here is a site with excellent prices on their products:

For conditioning, I have been getting terrific results with monoi oil. Here is a fine source for it:

Good luck and I hope you find something that works really well for you. ;)

Bonne soirée notre petite amie Suzie Q. Vous qui vie dans la province d`amour.
Cheap stuff can be Herbal Essences from the drug store.
I prefer stuff like Biolage which is more money but worth every penny. Lánza makes a good product. Aveda is still my favorite in all. ( Aveda is very expensive). It really depends on your hair type.
