Ok, I am trying the glued in wefts method and I'm LOVING it! i didn't sandwich this time as I was unsure how it would go since it was my first time so I didn't want to get all complicated, but I love this method. I don't know if I'm crazy but I feel like this looks more natural on me than any of the stand by strand methods I've used... less pieceyness, I don't know, it just seems to sit better and i'm not bothered at all by that sort of bulky scalp feeling, it's less bulky than the synth dreads I had for years!

Anyway, to my question, I know this has been talked about, but I can't find the thread it was in for the life of me... do you re-use your wefts at all? The hair I have in now is crappy hair that I got from Docs and I just used it as a test really, but i'm going to go with Bohyme next which is a little pricier so I wanted to try and re-use it if possible.... are you ever able to get all of the glue off your wefts?

Also, do you generally use hand or machine wefts? It seems machine wefts would have more surface to glue, but hand tied would be less visible?

If anyone else has any input I'd love to hear it, I'm only asking you Sherrie because I know you're the queen of the glued in weft! :)

Hey Dunebug...yes you can reuse wefts, you can never completely get all the residue out. With some acetone or remover and a toothbrush I think you can get the tracks cleaned up well enough to reuse a couple of times. Personally I think I would use acetone, so that you dont have the oily residue left in the tracks Sometimes the oily remover can be hard to get out of the track. Ive never tried the handtied and I would be leary of not having enough of a track to apply the glue to.  Bohyme's machine weft is plenty small...I just installed some with the wefts doubled and they dont seem bulky at all.

You are not crazy...alot of people feel that the wefts lay better, with less pieceyness. I dont think the bonded tracks are bulky at all...until they start to grow out, then they seem a little bulkier..but no bulkier than any strand method either.

How are you finding the shedding on Bohyme weft? I'm excited to try this with the sandwich method as even my crappy, 'threw them on my head in half an hour to see how they'd hold up' wefts are seeming to stay in pretty good.

Thats a good tip, I probably would have used my oil remover on the weft if you hadn't said that :)

I am loving mine too! (not the hair which is crap, but the method) I am super excited to try it properly with the sandwich and the Bohyme! :)
