I'm going back to wearing a hair extensions again...my hair is long and pretty healthy..I've had the privilege and honor of wearing it out for a while in a very high maintenance flat iron style..No one really even noticed that i was no longer wearing extensions..
they just noticed the hairstyle change..anyway, i'll be going back to the braid method..My stylist is very good with this using very tiny braided tracks..with the hair sewn in and a flat iron style, i was able to run my hand over my hair without feeling any tracks, lines, lumps or bumps. You can't even see them near the hairline.
Now that i'm going retro, does anyone have any tips on how to keep my hair moisturized, conditioned, and deep conditioned etc. with the wefts in? when my hair was out, i was using apoghee once a month..with my hair totally covered, i don't believe this would be possible..
Rk is a company who's hair I hated untill Amm told me to soak it in oilve oil. If you do a search on the board you will learn all about are discusions regaurding RK
Was yours the #22 or #613, marie, or did you wear it darker? I'm sorry, I can't remember what color it is you got.
I tried the darker blondes/golden browns like #10, #12, etc. and they wore nice as clip-ins without having to do that intense conditioning. I didn't wash or sleep with them in which may have been a contributing factor in the hair holding up.
The light blondes have a bad rap. RK must use the harshest of chemicals to lift that hair up from black. I grew to dislike that weird wave, too. It was more than natural but less than a perm. It was ooky.
Now, indian remy is another story. I'd take that any day over RK hair. I likes me some curls. smack smack
Hi Amm, It was #4. I do own some 22 though. My next install will be on monday. I bought from Indian hair and have allready lightened it, just have to tip it. Of course it got a very long soak in the olive oil frist!! I must say I am a convert as far as RK goes can you belive it!! This hair has been in I think three months and is still looking and feeling beautifull!! I love that I can air dry and have great curl or straighten and it's like silk. I will Be trying your new hair for my blond clients. The blond RK just feels like mush oil soak and all.

kalika...where did you get that signature card? the one that's typing away, until it falls to pieces in a bloody mess? I keep watching it in total fascination..
I tried to used the apoghee on the wefts yesterday..it's so sticky that my hair was tangled...i went on and put my head under the drier until it hardened and resumed with the balanced moisturizer/conditioner..as soon as i did that..my hair was great...i'm using a zig-zag, remi hand sewn wefts from extensions plus...
i'm looking forward to using a hot oil treatment this weekend as well...evening primrose oil....
