Hello Ladies,

I am so glad to be apart of this forum. I've found out a lot very quickly from looking at your posts. I would like to know if anyone (or everyone ) could share there weaving methods with me. I have just bought my first 8oz of hair and I want to try and install the wefts myself. The only method that doesn't require glue that I am familiar with is the sew in on a corn row (which is too bulky for me). I want my extensions to lay flat and look natural. If anyone has a step by step I would love to see it. I really only want methods that don't require glue. I would truly appreciate your help! I found the posting from doctored locks with the micro rings on the weft and I really like this method, But if you have any other methods please, lay them on me.Thanks

I had a class 6 years ago on flat wefts that were not cornrowed but instead you made the track and sewed the weft at the same time If I'm remembering it right. Teacher was Lisha somthing? Ahggg bad, can't remember. Any way it was much flater than the cornrows. My clients did not like the weave though . They were so use to strand by strand that I did it on a few and then never again! Maybe someone is familar with this.

Sounds like one of Lisha Colemans classes. She has quite a few different techniques she uses and teches. I think the website is www.lisha.com

Yes that was it Sherry! I took her class in Canada years ago. But my clients just didn't like it. It's very diferent to have a weave once your use to strands. But it was very flat and not as bulky as the other way with the braids.

Thanks Ladies for the site! Gotcha Gina ! I noticed that most of the stylist that actually have videos and seminars only allow licensed stylists the opportunity to learn the methods which I truly understand. So that leaves me out big time. At this point I just want to do my own hair.  I'm pretty sure that I will learn well from Gina's instructions. I see you are not that far from Michigan Gina. Have you ever heard of CHIC in GR. It's said to be a great school.
