They say they last 2 months! Any of you ladies know how to do this? Might be something you pros might like to learn. Wonder if it's something do it yourselfers can do.?
They are a little hard to DIY b/c you really need to keep your eyes closed due to the type of glue they use. Although there is a glue out now that is pretty fumeless now.
I own a salon where we (well, not me specifically) do a ton of them. They can last 2 months but after one month you are usually ready for a fill, even if it is just 2 lashes. They do not come off--they shed w/ one's own lashes. They look great! I wear them and love them.
Funny, the gals at my shop (booth renters) decided that $150 - $200, the going rate in my area, was over priced so they started offering them at $50 for a full set and they are SA-WAMPED!
One of them has done her own a couple of times but she said it is a little difficult due to the type of glue they use--but she has done it!
hmm..now I want them done. $50 is awesome. I'll have to look around adn see if there is anyone in my area who does it. I've never heard of this before. Thanks for the info
I wonder what type of glue they use.....I've used alot of different eyelashes and glues, but I have heard that there's this "surgical" glue that really keeps them on. Hmmmmmmmm........
I can find out what the glue is called at work tomorrow. It is very strong--they don't come off until your own lashes shed naturally. That is why the length of result varies, say if you get them right before a couple of lashes are about to shed naturally. They are VERY cool but, personally, I wouldn't spend a lot of $$$ on them. I actually feel like they are more maintainance than my hair extensions. Maybe less visual reward for the $ and upkeep makes me feel that way. I do think they are great if the price is right & a must for vacation!
Just saw your question. Yep, they are put on one by one--each lash gets his own extension.
Long and short can be alternated. Or, short to med. The short ones are pretty dang long, though, so I get all shortand sometimes trim the inner corner ones so they angle.

I go in to the shop this afternoon so I can post tonight. One of the lash gals is working today so I'll be able to ask her. She has used 2 types. The latest one she learned of at this years aesthetics show and it is better in that it has no fumes. She also uses thicker lashes now. Oh--I just remembered --they are called Lavish Lashes! Ok, lets see if this web addy leads to them: www.lavishlashes.com . If that doesn't work I'll get the web addy from her today. She uses both the lashes and glue from them now.
Cooewl--that web addy worked. I'll still ask her details about the glue, though. Like---'what is it exactly???'
edit--what I should add is that I do know that it is very important not to get the glue into the eyes, the eyes remain closed until the glue is dry (about an hour for a full set w/ my gal but she is fast). When she did her own, she said it was difficult--trying to keep one eye closed and one open, applying them on the closed eye's lashes.

Yep, I agree, they are a lot of upkeep. That is why I only think it is worth it for a good price. If a 2-3 week lash fill is only $30, it is a similiar price to getting acrylic nail fills every 2 weeks. Some salons charge soooo much $ that is just becomes so expensive.
I got a brand new set 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am missing 2 or so lashes on one eye (none missing yet on then other eye) so I am wanting a fill. It just varies so much though, based on where one is on their natural lash shed cycle. Meaning that is someone is about the shed, they may lose a lash right away if that makes sense. I'll wait a couple more weeks for my fill b/c I wear mascara on the base of them and it helps mask the missing lashes.
I am just as happy not wearing them b/c I love the extra super thick lash mascara look and you can't do that w/ these. It would just be too much.
edit--ps, my lash person charges $50 for full set, $30 for 3 week fill, $50 for over 3 week fill.
Cool, thanks for the info, I'm gonna look at that websight. It sounds like superglue or something! Eeesh, could you IMAGINE getting that into your eye????
