Honeydoo- you are starting to read my mind- i just got some of the Nutrine Garlic Shampoo and Garlic Conditioner and Hot oil treatment- i haven't used them yet though. Maybe next week- cause i am bound and determined to use my Torque Agico Emergencia this weekend.
Me and you, your cousin and your momma too rollin on da strip on bow's
I just got the Henna Queen Garlic Shampoo and yes, it smells like garlic all the way. it felt nice in my hair though. It didn't feel stripped and it lathered nicely. I used the Capile Honey and Milk Rinse and Conditioner afterwards, followed by Salerm 21 and my hair felt so soft and moisturized. I'm loving it!!! i don't know if I'll use the shampoos though. I do have the Sole and Cinnamon Rinse and COnditioner also. I'll be trying that over the weekend!!
I do have a question for Renee, when you use Salerm, was it liquidy or creamy and can you use it daily on dry hair??
That's a good question. I have never used any of the Dominican shampoos. Over the years and currently I go to a Dominican salon. I don't think that at any time have they used Dominican shampoos at any of them. I could be wrong though, but the shampoos I have seen them use most often are the generic professional size shampoos and conditioning rinse. Sometimes they use a specific brand name shampoo i.e. Nexuss, Sebastian or Affirm (neutralizing)...
Until recently I was not too picky about shampoo. However, I have discoverd (since finding these hair boards) that certain shampoos are better for my hair. Currently I am loving Elucence MBC shampoo & conditioner and also the Curly Q's line. They do not strip my hair. I also really like Frederic Fekkai Protein RX shampoo (but too expensive to repurchase). I will pretty much use any shampoo (except Breakthru which burned last time I used it). With my hair, the right conditioner and moisturizer makes all the difference.
Can't wait to hear about how these shampoos compare. I may have to try!
I never heard anyone comment on the dominincan shampoos just the lush conditioners. I'm still waiting for my shipment of dominican supplies. Wish me luck!!! I use Jason shampoos in sea kelp and jojoba (w/ the matching conditoners) they make my hair feel really nice. The shampoo is non drying and the conditioner has great slip(yeah I'm down with the lingo now)
