Well, I received the pills in the mail and I've been taking them for 1 week now. So far, my hair has not been shedding as much and it feels softer. I'll keep you informed as the weeks go by.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a young grandma (41) with a 5 year old grandaughter. I have two children ages 25 and 23. I'm married and I love the Lord. Both my husband and I serve Him together. I happen upon this board and have been reading all of your posts on a regular basis.
My hair is fine and very soft, a little past my shoulders and i'm looking for it to grow to bra strap length by summer of next year. I give myself a very mild relaxer just to loosen the curl. My hair is fairly healthy but, I want it to grow longer. A couple of years ago, I lost a considerable amount of hair due to anemia from fibroids and had to have surgery. I thank the Lord that even though some of the fibroids have returned, my hair has grown and have not fallen out anymore.
I have tried Viviscal before and it did work really well for me. I only used one box and my hair had grown at least 2 inches in that month alone. I haven't purchased any more until now. I heard about the Viviscal Woman and thought I'd buy it and see how much more it would make my hair grow in a month. I'll keep you posted.
All of you ladies seem like really nice people. It's going to be nice to get to know you.
God bless you.

I'm still wondering how taking a vitamin for one week can change how your previously grown hair can feel. Hair is dead protein, all you can do is to try to maintain its condition by treating it well.
I'm having a little trouble with the 2" a month, too. If it was so successful for you, why did you then stop using it?
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Well, for one thing, I noticed a difference in my hair. My hair was dry and breaking. It is now soft and the breakage has lessened. That's all I know. I'm just sharing my experience.
As for the 2" in one month. Yes, it was successful, however, I had a problem financially and couldn't continue to purchase the item. If I could have, I would have purchased more.
Hope that helps.

I don't come here very often but just wanted to say "hi" and welcome to the boards! Sounds like you're getting some awesome hair growth. What is in Viviscal?
I just take a regular multivitamin, eat well and hope for the best. My hair grows half an inch a month.
Anyway, welcome!

Nice to meet you both. Viviscal Woman is a combination of Vitamin C, Silica, Cartiligeous Marine Extract, and Acerola extract. I've tried it before and it worked well (the old formula) but since this is my second week with Viviscal Woman, the most I can say is that I haven't had the shedding of hair that I had before using it. I also take a multi-vitamin and I eat right. I was doing that before taking viviscal but my hair was still shedding alot. I'm sure it was due to my condition I noted in my other post.
Nonetheless, I see a difference in 2 weeks and I'm very happy about it. I will let you know the update by end of week 4.
So glad to see other newbies in here. Talk to you soon.

Hi Jazminsgrandma, welcome. Just to let you know I also love and serve the Lord. It is great to find a fellow christian who feels joy when letting people know that she is one. How are the fibroids? Are you getting treatment? I will be praying for you. The Lord cured my incurable diseases, so trust in Him, there is nothing he can not do. God bless you!

Praise the Lord! It's so good to know that there are people who love the Lord and share their joy of Him as well.
The fibroids are gone, Hallelujah! I am on Birth Control pills for right now, which is helping me keep them away. Thank you for you prayers and thank you for your encouragement!
I'm sure we will talk soon....God Bless you, too!!!

Well, i'm on my 3rd week of Viviscal and I have to say, WOW! I guess my hair loves this stuff. I measured my new growth ( I do have a relaxer which I did a touch up on August 19) and already I have 1 inch of new growth. I'm guessing that if I continue to use Viviscal, by January, I should have at least have length to my bra strap.
I am happy that this seems to be working for me. I'm about to re-order so that I can have it on hand when I finish next weeks pills. Anyways, I'll keep you all posted. Oh, by the way, my husband noticed the difference yesterday (Sunday). He was staring at me and I said "what's going on? Is there something wrong?" and he said "I was just noticing that your hair looks really nice. It seems thicker and longer for some reason." I haven't told my husband or anyone other than you nice people that I've been taking anything, just to see that it is working. Sometimes, others can see what you can't so it makes for good testing.
Talk to you soon!

I am so happy to hear that the fybroids are gone! Praise God. He is wonderfull insn't Him?. I'm glad that the Viviscal is working. I'm thinking about getting it for my sister. She has thinning hair. May be that will be her X-mas surprise. I'll get her like a 3 month treatment and see how she does. How much is it anyway?
Well I'll talk to you later. God bless you.

He is wonderful!!! That will be so nice of you to get this for your sister. It definately worked for me. The only thing with Viviscal is that if you are allergic to shell fish you can't take it. I pray that she is not. You are such a sweet sister. God bless you!!!
I found it fairly cheap on Netnutri.com for $49.95 with free shipping. Their number is 1-800-807-2007.
So nice talking to you. God bless you too!

Thanks so much for the info. No she is not allergic. In fact that is her favorite food!. I'll get it for her. Hopefully it will work for her as well as it has worked for you.
