What protective style do you use majority of the year? Do you wear a bun most days or maybe braids? I ask because I wonder if you ever get tired of that style day in and day out and how do you alter it so your not so bored with it.

Right now I'm doing braids, but they are driving me crazy, I think because I used synthetic. I'm used to using human and I have more styling options. I'm thinking of trying kinky twist next, but I may do braids with human hair because I have 4 months until my planned Big Chop.

I just wear ponytails all the time, especially when I wear my hair straight because it's just too much hair flying around for me and it gets annoying. I get very tired of ponytails sometimes. The only thing I can think to do is alternate what position they're in. .....high, low, middle, on the side. I cut bangs a while back for a change and I really liked them but I had to cut trim them just about every other day. They have grown a lot now.

Cmesweet, I saw a girl on campus today with the most adorable puff! I had to stop and ask her about it (she probably thought I was abnormal). She said she went natural 2 years ago and her hair has been growing really well since then, her only problem is keeping it moisturized well. (yes, I'm interrogating now!)

I bet it was gorgeous...did u give her any advice on moisturizing since you are an expert
You know I did Cmesweet!! I told her about a few things I use on my newgrowth that has worked since that part of my hair is natural. She had never heard of shea butter before so I gave her the address and phone number to my health food store!!

Bun, buns and more buns!! Oh, sometimes a pony...boring... I try to dress my buns up w/ chopsticks, some type of pretty barrette or in the summer an occasional flower! I don't know what accessories I'll use for fall/winter, but I'll def. still be bunning it!
High, loose ponytail while asleep. Maintains curl and body so I can wear my hair down the next day without using curling iron. Just lightly oil and moisturize ends before going to bed and the next day before going to work. This works for me 3-4 days after wash. Then I alternate between a pony tail & twist till next wash.
