Okay, here is the problem, today I washed and conditioned my hair.  After I got finished with everything, I went to comb out my hair and it was too tangled.  I sprayed almost a whole bottle of Pantene instantly detangling on my hair and my hair was still tangle bad.  I tried rewashing my hair with some Creme Of Nature Shampoo hoping it would get the tangles out, but that didn't work.  So I finally had to kindly blow dry my hair with tangles and all, and cut the tangles out eventually.  Do anybody know what I possibly can use on my hair the next time I wash it to successfully detangle it?   My hair is about 2 inches past my shoulder....HELP!!!

you have to clarify. your hair probably has mad buildup. get a clarifying shampoo and put your hair up in braids and take time to wash and detangle each section. while detangling, make sure you have LOADS of conditioner in your hair. probably one with good slip

woah!!!! sorry to hear that!my hair gets like that also. And my hair gets thirsty really fast and after i wash my hair i would put alot of oil in it and just blow dry it. So afterwards when its dry It wont be completely dry..While your hair is wet I suggest you use an hot oil treatment.

Thanks so much for the reply guys.  I've never used a clarifying shampoo before, but you can best believe that I will now.  I pray that it works, because I've worked so hard to get my hair to the length that it is now.

yeah and I would definitely say look for a good condtioner that detangles as well.  You can have all the slip in the world you want from a shampoo but once you slap on a conditioner that doesn't give much slip---all the goodness is lost!  I had this problem for awhile with the CON b/c it detangled well, but as soon as I put conditioner in-- my hair would go back into tangle mode.

AtOne Botanicals makes a good detangling condtioner

its like i have to use like chlorestoral or egg/mayo as a conditioner because those other conditioners just suck up all the moisture.

what conditioners were you using before aries?  I can't use the egg and mayo stuff very often b/c of the protein-- it would make my hair waaay too hard and I'd really need to get something to help me detangle!

I am so happy to see this topic on the board. I just incountered this tangling problem today. I wear sew in weaves and when I took it out and washed my hair I had huge tangles almost like dread locs I cut some of them I out. I was trying to get the rest out when I decided to check the board and c if any one else had this problem. I really need help with my hair it fell out in clumps when I was pregnant about a year ago because I got a relaxer it's starting to grow back but i don't know what to do to speed up the process I don't get relaxers any more which is hard for me b/c I have very thick hair n it grows really fast so I have a lot of kinky new growth. I used to love my hair and never covered it up now I wear weaves or braids b/c I'm so ashamed of it when people who know me c my real hair they r like what happened it used to be so healthy and long. please help.

Thank you
