Oh yea she was still alive. Her attorneys tried to sue Outcast for a song they made. Her attorneys lost the case. I don't think she had anything to do with it cause she had alzheimer. I think it was just her people trying to get some money.

She was a real soldier for African American civil rights. She fought for all people of Color to have civil rights. It was not just black people that white people discriminated against. It was anybody that looked like they had flavor. You dig!

You know what's really sad, young people that are born after the civil rights struggles seem to have foregotten that Black MEN were being Lynched just 40 years ago. They seem to think it's OK to not have African American pride. They say I'm not African, I'm a N_ _ _ _. No, you are a young fool that don't have any culture or pride. Hell, youngsters don't know that "they" still lynching Black MEN in the south right now. Anybody heard of Jasper, TX. That's near Houston and Port Author area in South Texas. Them good old boys down their will do something to you. About 6 years ago they tied a lynch rope around a Black mans neck and drove down a dirt road until his lower torso came off, then finally his head. James Bird is his name. That's 4real!

That's why I tell cats all the time, you don't know the south like you think. You have to be smart and strong to live and be free down here. You can loose your life real quick talking out line down here. Everybody got guns in Texas, everybody! The south is off the chizzle for realizzle.

they still lynching down there thats messed up. Another sad thing that made me mad was when they killed emmitt till in 1955 they even had an open casket funeral to show what they had done to him it just was so sad. They shot him in the eye, beat him with a bat, and tied barb wire around his neck and drowned him.

that emmitt till incident was sad. did you see when they went back and tried to find all the ppl that had did it. theyre all old now(of course) and look as if they wouldnt hurt a fly. but keep this in mind, old(er) ppl still remember and their physical appearance now is nothing cuz back then, they were strapping young guys beating "n******"

god bless rosa parks, she sparked a movement and contributed to one of the reasons that segregation is no longer a constitutional problem. but its still a social problem that hopefully, we'll overcome.

Yes Sir, they are still lynching down here. Man, they doing all kinds of things to Black MEN down here. All the Black men are dead, or in jail or on there way to jail. And I know it's the same up north but it's even worser down in the racist south. They really don't care about brothers down here.

Why do you all think most of the civil rights leaders are from the south? Because the south is where all the lynching is going on. In many of southern towns there are no blacks or minorities and they will do something to you for even driving through the town. The police and all the social institutions are set up to support the racist system of government. They protect it and promote it. You have to understand the world that we live in is bigger than the city or state we are born in. There is a big world out there but in many ways the Black man is hated and people envy us for our African features like our hair and dark skin and strong will to survive. We don't kill ourselves, we stand and be strong. Because of these African characteristics, they hate us and they hate on us. This includes lynching Black MEN. Down here all of the Black MEN are disappearing one by one and the sisters are going crazy. They turning gay cause it's not enough brothers to go around. They turning on the few brothers that are left and attacking us. They don't support us as much as they use to. It's a crazy situation down here. Yall keep your eyes on the prize. Stay focused, stay smart, stay strong, and stay freeeeeeee!

First Johnny C., now Rosa P., tomorrow it can be YOU. Think about it.

More about the south and Civil Rights Struggle. Check this article>>>>

Civil rights groups are moving their fight out of statehouses and into courtrooms

The Christian Science Monitor/February 19, 1999 not 1969
By Brad Knickerbocker

Ashland, Oregon -- As concern grows about the increasingly violent side of organized hate in the United States, civil rights groups are taking a different tactic in their fight.

They are attacking those espousing hate in the courts, trying to hit them where it can hurt the most: in the pocketbook.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, for example, is suing the Aryan Nations in Idaho. The law center, which has won multimillion-dollar settlements against the Ku Klux Klan and other racist organizations, hopes to put the Idaho group out of business by winning large civil penalties against Aryan Nations members who allegedly assaulted and terrorized a woman and her son last summer.

The darkest side of hate groups is being brought to light this week in a Jasper, Texas, courtroom where the trial involving the lynch-style murder of a black man is under way.

With states such as Wyoming (where a young gay man was murdered last year) failing to pass anti-hate-crime legislation, civil rights groups are moving from statehouses to courtrooms.

Other court cases

Among other cases around the country designed to clamp down on organized hate, a white supremacist Web site in Pennsylvania was shut down after the state attorney general filed a lawsuit accusing the site of issuing terroristic threats against state and local human-rights advocates.

In Illinois, a state panel that evaluates prospective lawyers for character and fitness has refused to grant a license to the leader of a white-supremacist organization called the World Church of the Creator.

Several lawsuits have been filed against public school districts around the country charged with failing to prevent attacks on gay students.

Meanwhile, there is growing concern about the "neo-confederate" movement in the South. Included here is the Council of Concerned Citizens, which seems to espouse race separation.

A column on the group's Web site last fall warned that any attempt to "destroy the race by a mixture of black blood is an effort to destroy Western civilization itself."

The council, which critics say sprung from the White Citizens Councils designed to fight desegregation in the South, recently made news with its connections to Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R) of Mississippi and Rep. Bob Barr (R) of Georgia. The two lawmakers have addressed the organization in the past, but deny knowing about the group's more controversial positions.

Southern heritage or hate?

Group leaders assert that promoting Southern heritage and being against affirmative action and court-mandated school desegregation does not equate to racism. But the Rev. Joseph Lowery, co-founder with Martin Luther King Jr. of the Southern Christian Leadership Council, has called the group "the Ku Klux Klan with a coat and tie."

By no means is the issue limited to the South.

The Center for New Community, a faith-based community-organizing group in Oak Park, Ill., recently reported that there are 272 hate groups in the Midwest, including those with ties to Christian Identity (a religion that is anti-Semitic and racist), the Ku Klux Klan, and neo-Nazi activity.

Racist pamphlets have been showing up in Seattle suburbs, and here in Oregon an effort has begun to officially recognize the state's racist past - including a constitutional provision banning African-Americans that stayed on the books until well into the 20th century.

The police chief in Salem, Oregon's capital, recently announced that he would personally investigate why the city has not had any black police officers in the past 18 years.

While the Aryan Nations in Hayden Lake, Idaho, has a staff of perhaps no more than a dozen people, it's message is being spread far and wide - particularly into prisons where many potentially violent racists are recruited into white gangs.

Prosecutors say the lead defendant in the Jasper, Texas, case came out of prison with many racist tattoos and hopes of attracting new members to a group he was forming, called the Texas Rebel Soldiers Division of the Confederate Knights of America.

Spreading hate's message In recent months, the Aryan Nations organization, reportedly funded by large donations from two California men who became wealthy in the high-tech industry, has sent out thousands of slick brochures and posters espousing its beliefs.

Such activity comes at a time when crimes based on race, religion, and sexual orientation are a growing concern among civil rights advocates and law-enforcement officials.

"There is a battle over whose America this is," Morris Dees, head of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Birmingham, Ala., told an audience at Westminster College in Salt Lake City last week.

But the effort to put hate groups out of business through the courts also raises questions about First Amendment rights to free speech. "The Bar of Illinois cannot certify someone as having good moral character and general fitness to practice law who has dedicated his life to inciting racial hatred for the purpose of implementing those views," wrote the panel in its recommendation not to grant a law license to Matthew Hale, the recent law school graduate who heads the World Church of the Creator.

The church's Web site rails against blacks, Jews, and other "mud races in general." Harvard University Law School professor Alan Dershowitz is considering taking Mr. Hale's case. And the Greater Chicago Anti-Defamation League warns that the decision to deny Hale a license to practice law "sets a dangerous precedent."

"We are repulsed by Matt Hale, but we respect the principle of free speech and believe he is entitled to the opportunity to spew his venom without restriction," said Richard Hirschhaut, ADL's regional director in Chicago.

In the year 2005, we need more Black sisters like Rosa Parks. We don't need our sister to start immatating something that they will never be. We need them to be strong like Rosa was.

No problem brother, that's my mission. I want everybody on this site to think. Think about what is happening to us and our culture.

Remember what happen to the Indians, well it's happening to us now. The first young man to understand this will have the biggest advantage over those who sleep on what I'm saying. The ones who sleep on this, will sleep right through their own destruction.

Where are the real Queens of African American Culture? Where they at? Are they fighting for African American MEN's rights too or just there own.

Back in the civil rights struggle, I don't think Malcom X and MLK just fought for Black MEN, They fought for ALL African American people.

"A newly released study by a team of family scholars estimates that marriage typically brings a host of important benefits to African American men, women, and children. On average, married African Americans are wealthier, happier, and choose healthier behaviors than their unmarried peers, and their children typically fare better in life-differences that indeed seem to stem largely from marriage itself.

The Consequences of Marriage for African Americans, a first-of-its-kind report based on reviews of 125 social science articles and a new statistical analysis of national survey data. The study was conducted under the auspices of the Institute for American Values, a nonpartisan think-tank based in New York City...."

The struggle continues............ They attack the people who are just trying to help and teach. I'm trying to help and teach.

They attacked Martin L. King, they attacked Malcom X, and they will attack me too.
