we'll i should have told her immediately but as i said i keep waiting for it to change/blend something.then i thought i could live with it because under certain lights you couldn't see it and some you could.then i got to thinking when she does the new growth next time she can't overlap to finish processing the last touch up she messed up.so about 2 1/2 weeks past before i could finally get up with her.she hasn't seen although i described it to her in full detail and her response was come and it's almost time for you to get your new growth done now. i was thinking that if i went and had her do it and said thanks and left it might not be so cool if she was expecting payment.she made it clear it couldn't have been her fault ex:water, age, normal meds. she clearly was insulted. so do you think she is really gonna be interested in do a great job anymore?this is not the first time this has happened with other sylist. i've been a blonde and orange zebra, melted cottonany hair, circled roots, you name it. don't these sylist give a flip. my 11 daughter has more compasion than some of these people.

Why is she making you pay ANOTHER 85 bucks?!? You need to politely remind her that mistake was purely her fault since she was so distracted and therefore she should offer to fix it for free!

thanks for replying! what happened was i was paying this lady $85 to paint in my new growth with highlighting bleach. and she done a fine job and then oneday i went in for my appt. and she was running behind then while she was working with me a insurance nurse came to do her physical and my timer went off and she was no where to be found so another lady came to check then my hairdresser showed up and let it set a few more minutes. she washed it out, didn't do the normal toner. to begin with it looked okay, you know it always looks better after a wash or two well it didn't. you can see the inch she painted in like a hallow around my head that looks brassy and the other she didn't do is a beautiful blond. when i called her she said that i must have rust in my water that only affected the new color after all these years of color that seems funny. a hairdresser tells you that if your not happy then you should let them know, then they take it so personal. well she said for me to come back in to get some strands painted in and another $85, that i may have to start over. i can't afford this chick and don't want anymore dissapointment from someone new. so i'll do it myself

Most of the time you have to use a red filler which can be bought at Sally's along with a shade of brown atleast one shade lighter than ur target level. This is because bleached hair has a tendency to be highly porous so color can come out darker than it normally would. You need to first "fill" the hair with the red filler and then proceed by coloring over your hair with a semi permanent brown color. Make sure to strand test first.
