this is an ongoing debate. i think it deoends on the texture of your hair. ever noticed that cats with the spaced out joints are the cats with the soft hair. the cats with the thick nappy hair (like me) got the small waves. you can improve them a little but not much. combing spaces them out a little. comb b4 you brush.

you get spaceout waves by growing your hair out and by doing the combing method
