Please wish me luck it doesn't come out badly.

Hoping to go from this -

(Colour is more faded now)

to this -



(but more of a dark golden blonde).

I really hope it comes out right. What can I tell them to get the message across I don't want it too short?

Use hand gestures. Tell them "cut it to here" or use a number of inches.

You can also tell the stylist, "Show me the very first snippet and I will tell you if that is the right amount off"

Leave the stylist no room for error! They are human too.

Hope it turns out how you want it! My suggestion is the same as Anais -- have the stylist SHOW you how much he or she is taking off. That's what I usually do. OR if you want, say two inches cut off tell the stylist one or one and one half because they always  take more. I had my hair cut today and I told her two inches and when she was done I asked how much she took off and she said "about 2.5" -- Ha, ha. I really didn't care this time though cause it really needed it bad.

She cut it a bit too short. The problem is she managed to cut it right, but my hair curled out. It's still adorable though. I'll post pics soon.

Yeah, like I said I was having ALL my hair cutt off, like all that comes past the basic shape of my head.

And I'm really happy with it. It's a little bit too short, but it will only take a month or two to grow out to the length I want, so at least I get to try it shorter than I intendeda s well as the legnth I wanted :)
