Hi All,

Sorry Im so late on this one...but I do have something important to add about fusion shedding:

When my stylist uses the gun on my hair, I have TONS of shedding. I now insist she uses the Pot to tip my hair...and Ive had no trouble. I think there is a connection between the gun not saturating the whole bond and only covering the outside not the middle~ versus dipping the while thing in the pot~  penatrating the entire section of hair, and therefore resulting in the whole bond being fused together in one peice. ( If that makes any sence)

I'm going to have to politely disagree on that one.  I use the pot and still experience shedding.  I make positively sure the entire strand, outside, middle, all the way through is saturated with glue.  I'm convinced it's something else.    I WAS convinced that some hair is too heavily coated with silicone for the glue to stay adhered to.....but I don't know.  Some people experience shedding with the same brand of hair that others don't get shedding from.  Perhaps it's the amount of glue being used.

I just did a new install because my previous one was shedding like crazy.  This time I did a number of things differently.  I washed the hair (the ends that would be in the bond) with dishsoap and dried, then dipped in alcohol and dried.  I heard this tip from someone else.  I also used a crapload more glue than I have been recently.  I also used my slender flat iron as a heat wand because for some reason I like using that better than using the heat wand made for extensions......go figure.   The last thing I did differently was to make the bonds longer.   So we'll see how well this holds up.  I'll post results soon.

This is interesting, I had a simular problem after getting synthetics back in October

http://www.boogiemama.com/album/displayimage.php?album=lastu p&cat=0&pos=2

They just came out quicker than when I had them the first time, after 2 months I took them out completely, I contacted Boogiemama about it, and have decided to make another appointment (perhaps for me it was a sign I was not meant to be blue), she did a VERY F#CKIN' good job on the first extensions (blonde), and she's a nice person!

I noticed with the blue they seemed "softer" were my seal was attached, bad glue?

I have my next appointment January 7th, I'll post again about how it turns out...

How about the fact, that she never washed my hair, and asked me when i had washed my hair, which i had done the day before. She is not equiped to wash hair in her home, as she does the extensions in her living room. So my hair was not washed again, and extensions were put in my hair. In my hair, i had my products as well, to make my hair look thicker,,, DOES this explain the problems people are having?

i usually never wash anyones hair beofre an install unless their hair is greasy. but i do not do fusion. i typicially dont have any problem with someone loosing a lot of strands eitiher. And if they did, i would certainly fix the problem, or help to  troubleshoot, regardless of the timeframe. I back my work. Thats what i would expect for myself and i try very hard to treat others as i would like to be treated.

honestly, i am dumbfounded that boogie hasnt replied here nor helped you. I AM sorry this has happened to you.

I was not the only one this happened to, there was pinkpanther as well, and hers only lasted 3 weeks,, and then Poose had a problem with synthetics as well,, so i am guessing it is the glue,,
