Hello, could anyone give some input on SKM  Hair & Co. India.    I am considering them as a supplier,  and would like to know about quality, service, and delivery time before I purchase.  If anyone has dealt with them, your input, advice, warnings, etc...would be greatly appreciated.

hi haute - there is a little magnifying glass at the upper right of the page - hit it and enter skm hair and it will pull up several threads.

here is one:

http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=33416 &KW=skm+hair

from this thread the review is favorable but it looks in some of the others that the hair was not exactly what was ordered, subpar, etc.

good luck

cheryl

Thanks so much, as you can tell I am so very new to this board.

Could someone tell me about the courier process when ordering the hair, do you set up your account with the courier(Fedex,UPS, DHL) or does the supplier for the hair handle the shipping? Is it included in the price of hair?  From my previous experience, the price covered the delivery, but I have been asked about my courier account number from one company.

you're welcome and welcome to the board!

mmm. in particular regards to this shipper i don't know their policies - easiest to email the specific company if you don't see it posted. some sites here require special funds transfers when not US based. sorry i can't help you more there.

also you might want to check out the black hair media site - go to the beginners thread on the main page and it's listed there. those ladies know their stuff and help one another out a lot.

The hair was very nice.  It wasn't curly enough for my taste though. The majority of the bundles were beautiful but some had split ends.  The weft was kinda strange zigzag wefting.  This hair was waaay better than indianhairs and any other hair I have ordered from "american" resellers like luxerylocs etc.  Although there were some nits in some, only a few bundles had TONS of nits.  We got all the length we wanted and some ordered up to 26 inches.

It would be fine to use for your own or clients hair but I think it would be harder to resell because you have to spend a lot of time picking out greys and nits and the bundles were oddsized.  Another thing that I thought was questionable was that the hair is handtied but it's all in one long length. So you have to cut the handtied wefts. And you know what that means...they will totally unravel unless you seal the ends.
It was the first time I bulk ordered before but I think its safe to say that this hair is nicer than a lot of other suppliers. I've heard some awful things about some others.

I purchased hair from SKM Hair (Sasi Kumar) and I was not happy. I ordered 15 -19 inches and paid $430 US dollar for 2 Kg.  I received 14 inch hair with bad split ends.   Try some one else.  Wanda

I always order from sasi, and the hair is just lovely. As it is natural hair it has split ends or do you know woman with long hair and no split ends? No, when you order natural hair, which is not processed, you will always have some more or less grey hairs in it and some split ends. Thats why it is called natural virgin hair, not cut and just like a ponytail...

I love the hair and Sasi ships fast, normally within a week...

Maybe you had bad luck, but did you write him why you only got so short hairs?
