Dear readers,
Professional hair salon has suggested today to our daughter that she have a "bleach scrub" to remove her very very dark brown hair color (applied professionally) and get it back to her mousy blonde hair.
Ultimately, she would like to be her original mousy blonde but with highlights.
What is a bleach scrub? The salon wants to "color remove", "bleach scrub", condition, and then reevaluate for more color. She is only 17 and we don't want to fry her hair off. The process is going to be 4-6 hours - is this right?
last yr i was at a salon (now closed thanx to my talking to EVERY1
about what they did) for 8hours, i had black hair and i wanted a change
and they sugested a light brown with blonde highlights and well i went
along with it and said 'hey long as it aint red or orange in any way
ill love it' so sat me down and bleached my hair all over 3 times! now
after the first time i was thinking they would just put the colour
through but that wasnt the case they bleached it again and then again!
then she said 'oh its looking a bit brassy so im gonna put a 'toner'
in' so she did so and it looked even more orange(it wasnt a toner thats
4 sure)! so then came the cut, i said only cut off what u need too to
make it ok so she said "how about this much(indicating about 2)" and i
said thats fine, so off goes 4". by the end i was in tears with hair
like a fuzzy pumpkin! the next salon i went to thought i had let a 3yr
old at my hair with the scisors!
the point of the story is, make sure u keep an eye on what they are doing cause i dont what her lookin like a fuzzy pumpkin too!
