Bohyme natural wave problem

I installed a full head of bohyme natural wave, 18'' to my friends hair. I used two colours, 8 and 613. The hair looked absolutely stunning. Very mermaid like. She adored it.

However, after the first wash the hair has become a nightmare to handle. It's lost most of it's natural wave and actually turned into what looks like dreadlocks. It's fluffy and frizzy and there is absolutely no way of saving it so I'm removing them tomorrow after 5 days! We used a very simple shampoo that I always use on extensions so I don't believe this to be the problem.

Suffice to say I'm not happy. It's the first time I've used bohymel wave and it's put me off entirely.

Can anyone offer any advice on why this might have occured or if they've had a similar experience. Thanks.

I know this is an old post but as I was looking for a previous post I stumbled upon it.

The problem I had here was that I was a newbie when ordering and didn't know what I now know. Tragic!

The people I ordered from, upon asking if they supplied Bohyme, informed me that 'Bohyme' was simply a name given to 'Indian Remy' hair. Being none the wiser I ordered their Indian Remy and had a disaster. Like I said, it was lucky that it was a friend and not a client as it washed appallingly.

When I called them about it they said she must have done something wrong or possibly 'didn't tie it up for bed'. Forgive me if I'm being stupid here but is NOT tying your extensions up for bed the difference between prolonging or destroying them? No, I didn't think so.

The fact that she asked me to wash them for her two days after installation (as she'd never worn extensions before and was scared of doing so herself) AND given that I've been wearing and washing extensions for years and have yet to knacker any, I think they were quite possibly talking out of their behinds.

They offered me a discount off another purchase (which I wasn't remotely interested in and would in fact never order hair from them again) but what concerned me most was the mis-information they were giving out. Whether they thought I was a sucker or plain and simply lied isn't what bothers me. It's the fact that they're giving Bohyme a dreadful name if thats what they're telling people. I'd heard so much great stuff about Bohyme and initially I thought 'It's dreadful and I'll never go near it again'.

Interestingly, they advised me that they sell that particular hair by the bucket load and have yet to have any complaints. 

So the reason I bring this up is that recently I was having a clean out and I found the leftover hair that I'd shoved to the back of a cupboard. I did a small experiment ie wetting it with nothing other than tap water and waited for it to dry. The hair dried straggly, dry, frizzy and more kinky than curly. It was horrible.

So I'm wishing now I'd done something more though what I've no idea. And it's such a hassle that sometimes you just have to cut your losses and learn from your mistakes. I know I'll never order from these people again and I also know that authentic Bohyme is some of the best hair I've yet to come across.

In the end it boils down to his word against mine so I probably don't have a leg to stand on.

I don't mind making mistakes as it's those that teach you valuable lessons but being blatantly ripped off by whats supposed to be a reputable company is plain insulting.

I could kick myself for being so naive but hey ho. I'm the Queen of perfectionism so this really peeved me.

Thought I'd share it with you despite the fact that it all happened back in December (Christmas Eve morning to be exact as I had to remove them for three hours in the morning).

I couldn't agree more. I was reluctant to put their names up at first but if it saves someone else losing out then I'm happy. Well, happy-er..

There is no way to learn other than making these mistakes along the way. As a result I've done SO much research to the point of becoming a hair extension geek which has helped me immensly.

This message board has been a wonderful source to me on so many occasions. Before placing orders I always do a quick search on here and it's saved me from potential disaster a couple of times. Therefore, if I can pay back in any way by preventing others doing the same then we're all helping each other.

I have Bohyme natural body wave in right now and Im going on 2 weeks with it. The wave does wash out after about 2 washings, but it holds a curl beautifully. I used hot rollers on it last weekend and it looked awesome. It is kinda of getting dry on the ends the last 2 days but I put Neutrogena Silk creme leave in conditioner on it and it comes right back, silky and nice. I have found that a good boar bristle brush helps alot.
