I don't think there is any reason why it wouldn't grow just because it's broken.  The break happens at the end of the hair and the growth is from the root, right?  However, the split at the end of the hair can travel upwards, making more of the length of the hair look damaged so you are probably best to trim off as much of the existing breakage as soon as possible.  I am sure that it will still grow, though, unless the hormones in pregnancy can also, separately, affect hair growth.

Good luck.  If you are worried, speak to a trusted hairdresser who will be able to advise you.

i would suggest getting rosemary oil (15-20 drops) diluting that in sweet almond oil and applying it to your trouble spot daily or 2 times a day. massage it in and within a month or two you should see progress.

Hello,

I know this may sound like a really dumb question. But is there any product that could  increase the growth rate of my hair? My hair grows so slow, and I trim it to eliminate all the dead ends( I've heard that makes it grow faster). My hair is healthly(finally!), it just takes to long to grow. If anyone has any suggestions on certain hair products that can help me out, please let me know :)

Cardiovascular exercise, healthy eating, and proper hydration helps. Summer sunshine also helps. But no supplements will really make a difference.

Does pure coconut oil work as well interms of restoring damaged hair? Or does it just make it really shiny?

Nothing really "repairs" or "reconstructs" damage. Coconut oil adds a bit of moisture and shine but nothing further. Still, coconut oil makes a fabulous moisturizer.

Hope this helps
