i've used garnier before and i liked it,and disliked it at the same time! yeah its kind of weird but its true. it smells great and does make your hair a bit stronger, but it also left it very dry and brittle. the commercial with the black gurl on it showing how her hair was all poofy before using it, is how my hair looked after i let it air dry. i guess it depends on who you are and what type of hair you have. just like all beauty products. thats why sometimes i read these postings and i wonder if everyone actually thinks i persons regimen will do the same exact result for them. a lot of factors depend on what works for whom. but you go ahead and try what you want! whatever makes you look good is a keeper

I've never used Tresseme and haven't used L'Oreal Vive in years but I do like Fructis. I use the Long and Strong one. The shampoo is really thick and creamy, almost like a conditioner. I really like it but I wish it didn't have sulfates in it .

I have used Tresseme and didn’t like it, it didn’t do
anything for my hair but make it feel dry so I gave it up. I have also used
Fructis long and strong but I didn’t really notice that my hair had become any
stronger or that there was any less breakage. I think I will stick to my dark
and lovely 3 in one shampoo and conditioner for now, it makes my hair shiny and
soft.

whats the deal with sulfate? dont all shampoos and conditioners have them? i saw a report on 20/20 one night about all the different shampoos and how they are marketed. they talked about garnier, herbal essence, dove, etc. and how they claim to do things to your hair based on the so called "natural fruit" used or "citrus compounds" and how none of these things are actually proven to make a difference. they came to the conclusion after a month study that all shampoos are the same because they all contain laureth/lauryl sulfate which is the ingredient that actually cleans the hair. so buying a shampoo or conditioner because of what is marketed on commercials really doesnt matter, just as long as it has the sulfate that is the real cleaner for hair.

No, they don't all have sulfates. Most do but not all.
