QuoteReplyTopic: LUSH Install Pics! Posted: January 05 2006 at 7:38pm
Hi everyone! As promised here are pics of my new Lush install. I used
#33. I ended up using all 200 strands plus maybe 50 or so of some weft
hair I pretipped with LG myself to add more fullness. I razored a bit
toward the ends to help it blend. This is after a blowdry while
scrunching it a bit so it has more wave (I was going for the messy
look). It gets bone straight if I dry it that way too. My natural
length is at my chin! I used Amms adhesive shrinkies and only lost 2
strands in about 2 weeks and that is my fault because I don't think the
tip was flush with the shrinkie.
Also I discovered something that works AWESOME as an alternative to
dying hair to get a perfect color match. The #33 was close to my red,
but not exact and I'm fussy with the color match being EXACT. I did the
install and then put on that new L'Oreal temporary color mousse in
"lively auburn" (it comes in the orange foil packages, you can get them
at most drugstores and target for like 3-4 bucks!). It's still in my
hair and grabbed really nice on the lush hair. The color is seamless
and it doesn't damage your hair at all so you can refresh the color
often!
So here it is! Thank you all so much for all your tips! Oh and Sand,
I'll come to you for my next install. My girlfriend moved pretty
slow ;)
I'm a happy girl and love my new hair!!
Let me know what you all think!
Happy New Year Everyone!!

I often put a demi or semi permanent rinse over my hair get to blend in to, since I like a brown-red- violet color, and extension hair doesn't come in that color.
oh, what color of lush is that? The dark auburn? Or did you dye it or tone
it? I was trying to get mine that vibrant color, but i think mine don't look
as...intense. Boo!! You're are lovely though!
Edit: Opps. Nevermind....Got absorbed in the pictures and didn't really
read it!!! I'm trying the toner, I've seen that before and wasn't sure if it
worked good. Yay! Did 1 cover all your hair?

The colored mousse stuff did cover ALL my hair with 1 can. It's
awesome. It fades with each wash, but its gentle :) It really made the
red pop!
Thanks for the compliments everyone! I had several people say "you look
so nice with your hair down" HA HA. THey didn't even realize they were
extensions!
Have a great weekend everyone!
