Ok everyone, I am in need of all you expertise!

This weekend I did my first ever shrinkies install.  ( I need to find my camera then I can get pics up).

Anyhow, I am having a problem with the shrinkies being somewhat visible.

First off, my hair, I hate it, lol.  It is extremely blah and gross.  It is naturally dark brown but it has been colored beach blonde for the past couple years.  My hair is naturally stragly and dull looking. It doesn't have the shine and luster everyone elses does (probably all the bleaching!) lol!  That's not really my main problem though.  I have thin hair, which I think is causing a major problem with the shrinkies.  It doesn't really look all the thin but it feels thin.  I also have breakage at the top of my hair.  (Like Kristin described from a bad bleach job.)  I looks pretty much exactly like hers did.  There is breakage and then the rest sits right below my shoulders.  I put the shrinkies about as far as two rows up past my ears in the back of my head and further up on the sides due to trying to blend the breakage.

However, I feel like if I so much as move fast or god forbid I stepped out into a light breeze that all the shrinkies would become visible.  They seem to easily come into plain view.  I tipped them myself and followed tipping guides and sized them correctly.  THey are not overly big or bulky.

I installed them on Sat and took them out on Sunday and redid them, however I am still having the same problem!

Can anyone PLEASE help me out!?

If anyone has close up pics of how they shoulkd look and where they should be placed in the hair, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know!  I was looking for this to be my solution to nice hair without spending and arm and leg!

When shrinkies or any kind of extensions are in the hair, they should look undectable.

I have a client who has a bleach breakage problem like yours.  We do a top row of wefts, and shrink links every where else.

Wefts have the advantage of giving smootherand better  coverage than strand extensions.

On my last install I used micro-shrinkies (well, actually used shrinkies.net regular premium shrinkies that I already had and cut them in half) on the top 2-3 rows.  This made them more undetectible in my opinion.  My hair is not bleached but is very thin.  It has been 10 days and so far I have not lost any strands this time, not even the micros.  The micro-shrinkies are a little trickier to get the strand correctly placed inside the shrinkie and to heat them long enough.  It helps to be sure to cut your strand tips to the same size as the shrinkie and be patient when installing.

The above suggestions are good, but if you don't do either of those, just
try putting them not as far up in the hair. So there's more hair to cover it.
Since my top layers are shorter, I've had the same problems, I can't put
them too high up or they show really bad, or even too close to the sides
of my head.

It's all just about playing with it, trial and error! Goodluck!
