Your hair looks great either way, but much more natural looking now. It definately warms up your complexion. Nice job. Crossing my finger you don't get too much fading.
I totally agree with it being more professional looking. As
lovely as platinum hair looks (mmm shimmery), it has it's sterotypes -
especially where I live - and it's done wrong so many times.
Good luck with your promotion, you hair looks fabulous!

I got really lucky on the color on ebay. I bought it from the same seller. I think I'm going to mix the two colors 3 parts Cafe Au Lait and 1 part Mojave. Then I'll be able to do 1 part Cafe Au Lait and 3 parts Mojave when I'm ready again after that without having to buy more. It will be the gradual change I'm looking for.
I have gotten so many compliments at work! I have just gotten a promotion that I'm easing into (it's a created position and I'm still training someone to replace me). I'll be visiting customers and I think it's more professional than the platinum.
It really wasn't difficult to use the cap by myself. I just took my time.
I am so close to my natural color! This is an awesome feeling!
Did you just type that indeed! Porousity has ruined my life!!!
I buy loads of hair stuff off Ebay because its so cheap and I have no
Sallys nearby. Only problem is, if you want the same thing again
there's no guarantee it'll be there!

Thanks y'all! I ordered it on e-bay. I got enough solution (bought separately) when I ordered the Cafe Au Lait the first time. I didn't apply heat to it like my stylist did the first two times in the salon, but it seems to be holding up pretty well for a semi-perm. Thank goodness for porosity! (EEK! Did I just type that??!!)

I know, I know.....I had sworn off doing it myself, but sometimes plans change. In my attempt to go to my natural haircolor (between a level 8 and 9 neutral/ash blonde) I have had lowlights twice by a professional. This time, I ordered the color I needed to get more ash back and did it myself with a cap. HINT: don't buy a cheap hook....mine broke about 1/2 way through. My darling bf made me a new one out of a bobby pin. I'll never complain about the garage being full of high tech tools again!
Anyway, the color is a little light (Redken EQ semi-perm in 09N-Cafe Au Lait) to match my natural color and has faded a tad, of course, since I did it last week. I've already ordered the next level darker in the same ash tone (08N-Mojave). The gold on top is a reflection of the overhead light. Don't we all hate artificial light??!! I'm on the right track.....I'm leaning toward a neutral/ash which is what I needed. Now, I just have to find the right shade.
