The first thing I notice about a woman is her hair. The thing this forum says to talk about is hair. It's not a forum about a woman's other features. It's about hair. I'm not challenging your continuous insinuation that I "only see the hair," because, while it's not entirely accurate, it is partially true. But there's nothing in the rule book saying I'm wrong to do so. Further, you don't write the rule book. Now, look at the hair in the side by side photos. Eliminate the other features. Which hair do you like better? My choice is crystal clear, whether or not other features are considered. Please don't bring this up again. Please!

OK, I won't. But I think a stylist will look at someone's face and general lifestyle before giving a professional opinion as to what he/she thinks is the best hairstyle for that person. Some people do look terrible with long hair!

If you're including Alex Witt in that group, you better get your nut examined. If you get a chance, turn on MSNBC when she's anchoring. Like many anchorettes, Alex looks better on TV than she does in still photos. Daryn Kagan, Alexis Glick and Becky Quick are two others that come to mind in that category.

She has been known to pull her hair back at times as well....along with Alison Stewart and Amy Robach, they are the only two desk anchors at MSNBC I'vee seen do that.

Heck why not I have to ask another one thinking of giving to LOL? Heck why not? Ann is going to do it came out of her mouth Tue. So why not get another from the same company. Who knows just me for that day when Alex goes short.

Um, as much as I hate to jump in here, fatmoogas does have a valid point. Whilst I can completely understand that you judge solely on what their hair looks like, this forum by all means considers the person's other features. Many, MANY threads have discussed the fact that someone's hair is not flattering on them...which is directly related to their features.
I'm sure we are all familiar with the concept of someone having an absolutely great haircut/style that is unflattering or not as flattering as another style to them. For example, Rene Russo's long curly blonde hair is beautiful. But her shorter, layered red hair, IMHO, was MUCH more flatterig on her.
The flip side would be someone like Alyssa Milano who has looked terrific short and long, though if you didn't take into account her whole look, you may say long looked great and short looked awful.
So, while you may love someone's hair for what it is, that doesn't mean that it's unreasonable for the rest of us to question whether or not it's the style that enhances their features the most.
Oh, and for what it's worth, I think Alex Witt looks good both ways and am impressed that she (and oddly several of the other MSNBC anchors such as Chris Jansing) has managed to grow her hair out in the generally cookie cutter world of female anchor styles.

3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.
Hey Mike you might have a point. But if I was the NBC company, I would be begging Alex and Ann to keep their hair long. Well, maybe after Ann gets it cut they might encourage their anchors to keep their long hair.

I have no problem with others, like yourself and Fatmoogas, taking all of a woman's features into account when analyzing a celebrity's hair. I just don't want you guys to criticize me when I don't. Even analyzing a woman's features can come down to interpretation. Some will say a woman has a big nose or a fat face. Others will not see her that way. You know I adore long, healthy, clean hair on any woman and that I'm open to shorter-haired women on occasion. Beautiful hair is beautiful hair regardless of a woman's features. Why would I change now?

I just hope Ann's cut isn't going to open the flood gates. But you never know. Heck NBC might want her to cut it for sweeps. Heck there is enough people out there that would like to see her get it cut. Just like there are a lot of us that like her with it long. I guess it's all going to come down to her and NBC if they want to show it or not.
