you should grow ur hair out. that always does the trick. continue to brush that right side, but keep growing it out. its easier for your hair to wave if you continue to brush as it grows.
as you brush, ur hair will grow and ur waves should appear better and better each day on that side.

I've had waves since as far back as I can remember but I could never get the complete 360. On the right side of my head it just won't get like the right side. I brush them the same, on my right side i see a pattern forming but even with the du-rag it doesn't flaten out. Here are some pictures.
