I boughtthe Optimum Multi-Mineral Relaxer after spending 30 minutes in the BSS, trying to search for a new relaxer to test out.  Last nite I tried the relaxer, and I guess I didn't get the full effects because Im not really adequate at applying relaxers.  I only apply to the newgroth..and am pretty good at staying "within the boundaries".  I was pressed for time, and really didn't get a chance to smooth.  Needless to say, it came out pretty manageable, however, my roots still feel VERY curly!  Before the relaxer it was hard to comb.. etc..now I can comb it and it's actually soothing to style.  Would this possibly be some sign of underprocessing, if so, is it okay to underprocess?  Besides the fact of needing a relaxer sooner.. which I highly doubt!

Underprocessing?

I call it "texturizing".  My hair is texturized. That means, the stylist puts the relaxer on sparingly all over, and rinses it out before it straightens my hair.

That sounds like what happened to your roots.

Or see it this way: your hair is a certain structure. Relaxer breaks down that structure. "Underprocessing" doesn't break down the structure as much. So that part of your hair may actually be healthier than the straighter parts.

That's just my opinion.

Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!
