Those sound like good resolutions.

When my hair is pressed I usually only wash it every 2 weeks and my hair is fine.  It also helps cut down on heat use because I don't have to do anything to it during that time.  I know a lot of ladies wash more often but it depends on your hair I guess.

ITA with R2D2 with the whole washing twice a week.  I am not sure of how much product you put into your hair, but it is bad to let all of the product clog up into your hair.  Some women can get away with not washing a whole week.  I used to think I could until I noticed that my scalp would get very itchy after day four, and becomes very dull and lifeless.  Clean hair is the way to be, but I've heard that every now and then you should let your hair get a little dirty. ;) .. So maybe your right!

Sounds like good common sense.

I've learned that my hair doesn't like too much manipulation either.  I used to detangle twice a day but have managed to cut it down to once a day by wearing my hair in braids at night.  I started combing from the ends and working my way up and my hair seems to be responding.  I seem to have less breakage.  I did some nice braids after washing last night and think I might try wearing them more often for longer to cut down on the manipulation.

So would you say that using reconstructor every 6 weeks is the way to go?

I do find that my hair does like being washed more frequently though - twice a week.  If I go beyond 5 days I get more breakage and my hair has a coated appearance from all the oils I use.

I did a mini trim last night and decided that I had
to make myself some more STRICT rules for
my hair,, i get careless and my hair pays for it and i
will not mess up my goal,, i am truly obsessed now
lol but i love it anyhoo these are my resolutions,,
1.Stop touching my hair soo much( i have a terrible
habit of just taking it down feeling it etc,, touching just
wears it out so HANDS OFF! )
2.Try to stretch washes to 1 and a half weeks
sometimes! ( my hair likes it ,, but i like to wash
weely lol)
3.Always be delicate when touching,( sometimes i
get so rough on my hair,, brushing roughly and stuff)
4.Moisturize my ends EVERY day
5.Stop overusing protein reconstructors!! ( had some
big mistakes with this)
6.Make sure to eat enough protein every day!
Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED
