Can anyone help me with this , I am a student hairdresser and I have done an extension course. I am starting to get clients by word and mouth! and I don't know how to price the protac,  so far they have been just paying for the hair and tapes and I do it for free, I have needed the practise anyway. What I am having difficulty with  is I can't say how long the protac is going to last, on myself it lasts until I take them out, but other peoples hair is different, what do you do if they fall out in 2 weeks and its not their fault? Also does anyone know of a good liability insurance for doing extensions in the uk?

i'll try find the info i have on insurance but its onlly £35 a year :)

Also, just explain to them beforehand, like you would with glued in wefts, that the glue sometimes lasts all the way through on people, but on others it can come out after the 1st wash. 

Id make some kind of guarantee though, like.. if it falls out soon you'll replace it for free or something - protac isn't that expensive and im sure you could charge an extra £5 or something to cover any extra protac you might need to buy

Be sure to mention that the top and bottom protac wefts seem to loosen up more quickly then the rest.  I would secure the wefts better with shrinkies or something to keep them from slipping.

I have not had any experience with shrinkies are they better than hot melt fusion, and would you need training.

Its a matter of opinion. Some like one better than the other.
I like both methods.

If you can do fusion, then you can to shrinkies as well.

You don“t get as much glue in your hair with shrinkies, as you do with fusion.
