So I finally decided to take my pro-tacs out, they weren't slipping or loose
even! My hair seems to be growing speedy and they were starting to
show. The strips came out like a breeze! Stupid me decided to use that
proclaim bonding glue just to make sure the pro-tacs stayed in...I am
never using that stuff again!!

That's the only thing left in my hair. It's weird gluey (I think it's latex) and
so I can't get it out easily. I am letting it soak in oil right now, then I am
going to see what I can comb out with out killing myself, then try
acetone, then just wash wash wash! If anyone has any tips for getting this
out let me know, I have a feeling it will be in my hair for a while!

On another note, I got some shorter blonde hair today, sewed on some
clips, and I am going to try to do that cute light on bottom, dark on top I
see some people doing. I don't know if I can pull it off though, we will
see!

Tangles suggests using cornstarch baby powder on a comb to get the last
of the sticky residue off the hair. I tried it with my wefts and was amazed
at how much came off with the powder. I combed a bunch through dry
hair, brushed with a boar bristle brush, then shampoo'd once and the hair
was perfectly clean.
Here's to the end of my BAD HAIR LIFE!

If you use the proclaim shampoo remover it breaks all the proclaim glue down.  Then I usually just put lots of conditioner on my hair and it slips away, I then use a small tooth comb like a 'nit' comb and just come until it comes out, usually takes me about 15 mins of combing in the shower with lots of conditioner on.

Did you use machine weft or handtied weft? I always fear using the handtied cuz they're so tiny, and I feel like I'd have to use alot to get a full head of hair.

All hail the DIYers Hoorah! Hoorah! :D

I'm going to have to try the cornstarch baby powder today. I've looked for
the shampoo, and I couldn't find it anywhere around me. They did have
the conditioner though, wonder if that's the same. I used the oil, then just
combed through it. Got a good amount out, but it hurt like....#%#@!!! [:
^(]

So I just couldn't take anymore, got in the shower, tried using some dish
soap and combed through it, this got a lot more out, I was surprised, was
painful in some areas, but not too bad.

So now I just have a few clumps that are too close to my scalp to get a
comb above, and that sticky feeling all over. Gross. I am going to put on a
hat or something and run and get some baby powder...

Thanks for all the advice!

Oh, I used microwefts, not sure which type, but it really didn't take much
to make it nice and full. I doubled up a lot of the wefts, and right now I
am making clips with the microwefts and I just sewed 2 wefts together
and it's still small, but it's nice and thick.

But, I'm normally a strand by strand girl, so this whole weft thing is new
to me. I don't have experience with any other types of wefts at this point.
