I used to have real short my entire life but i started dating a girl and she said i would like cute if i grew my hair out...so i figured i would try the change. Now almost 2 and half years the realationship finally ended and now here i am with very long hair to the middle of my back. I have also lost 90lbs in the last 2 years so i look completely diff then i did in high school but now since the realationship is over should i cut the hair off and go back to my old self or should i keep the long mane? What do you guys think?

Oh my, this isn`t a wild story.
I think this all depends on you. Pardon the pun, but was the hair something you "grew into", and it became part of who you are, or was it something you just did to make her happy? Think about it.

Don`t hang on to it if it isn`t who you are. But also don`t be in a rush to whack it off because you want to get over her.

Or you could try going shorter, but keeping some of the length and adding layers or something. Really, there are lots of chicks out there who dig guys with longer hair (as long as it looks good :))

By the same token, should you put the 90 lbs back on in order to go back to your "old self"? In both cases, do what makes you happiest, right? Rocket science, huh?

You mentioned in your post that you would cut it and go back to being yourself......I think you answered your own question. You "see" yourself as shorthaired guy. If you liked having it long, you would not be posting here. Think hard before you make any moves though as it will take a long time to grow back. As for Jennifer, I have seen you make that same allegation on other posts. For all intents and purposes, this person`s story is real. This is the internet, every story on here could be a farce, you could be a farce. What does it matter? As long as it is clean and about the topic of hair - what does it matter. Enough of the policing.
