I had fusion extensions (well very stiff plastic bonds) which i HATED, they were so horrible and the hair was just disgusting (very very poor quality). Had them taken out the next day, i think it was partly because the salon was very inexperienced that they were so bad. Im thinking ill get microlinks with the next lot :) fingers crossed they turn out better! How did your fusion extensions work out?
The sculptra looks interesting, i hadnt heard of it before you mentioned it. Will have to look into it some more. I could do with some decent cheekbones! If plastic surgery was guaranteed to be fail-proof and perfect everytime i could quite easily go nuts lol but yeah, theres way too much room for error its just not worth it for some procedures.
hehe, I thought I recognized your name from hair ext board. What type of ext do you wear? Or have you had them yet? I've worn fusion, corn row sew ins, heat seals, but now am very happy w/ clip in wefts.
Yah, Sculptra can get expensive for sure. I am lucky that I found an injector who believes that less product can create as much result (poof) as more product, if that makes sense. I have read posts from a couple of girls in Australia who say that a lot of docs there inject less at a time as well--that the've learned that 'less is more' b/c they've used it years longer than USA. So I have $1,000 dollars (over 4 sessions) of it in my cheekbone area which is at least 1/2 of what other docs recommended for me. ok, don't mean to ramble here! I love the stuff-- www.sculptra.com It lasts 1-2 years. They say 2 so I round that down to 1.

Lol yeah im in the process of figuring out which extensions i am going to purchase :D bring on the jessica simpson tresses!! oooo cheeks, i havent heard of sculptra is it any good? I presume it enhances your cheek bones? must be pretty $$$!
oh, no doubt (uneven result=bad). And I also always hear about it not lasting very long on a lot of people and that could get $$$. I already spend enough on fake hair and Sculptra (cheeks).
best!
edit b/c I am queen of typos

Hey lucky chick, that would be awesome! Yeah im debating whether i should get restalyne but after what ive read about the uneven result im kinda put off! will be cool to see how well the pump works on your lips =)
omg, I ordered one! I will take before and after pics and share. I don't know how to post pics but I will figure it out. I have small lips so this will be interesting to see. I am going to postpone my lip inections appt for now. I don't want much more volume--I like my lips w/ morning edema so maybe this thing will be enough for me for now. I'll keep ya posted, 222chik222!
ok, I am interested in this lip pump. I have heard of it but was afraid it would be hard on the tissues, ya know? I may try it now. I have my first Resty lips appt June 20 but maybe I should try this first! Hmmmmmm

Besides restalyne, which I get every year.... as mentioned earlier I had gortex... (string) drawn through the inside of my lips.... worked great, wish I had gotten more.... Anyway, I'm seeing more and more of the 'pie surgery' out in Calif...... if done correctly, it is definitely worth it for pemanency.... However, if done badly.... then it looks like Melanie Griffith!!! yulk..... the INSIDE of her upper lip is exposed constantly..... I'd like to know her surgeon........ awful job....

I got my own fat injected in my lips, I love them. I had restaline also 2 years
ago, I like the look of restaline, it just doesn't last long enough. My doctor
said with fat, it depends on the person it is stays, and it is the most natural
thing you can put in your lips. My first injection lasted 7 months, my lips
were still full, I just wanted more fullness. I got more of my fat put in 3
weeks ago. The swelling only lasts a few hours, I had a little bruising, the
needle is bigger when they inject fat. He took the fat from me when I was in
surgery last year for a nose job.

I bought the pump on Kalika's advice and I love it. $25 or how ever many thousand. I think it's worth a try before the plastic surgeon. GIve it a try. Seriously.

i have had and do get resty..i have had it for 2 years and go back every 4/5 months for a 1/2 syringe touch up..makes it last longer than if you let it all go away then put it back in..the only sucky part about resty is the numbing shots..after that it is all good (to me) I do bruse for a few days where the needle goes in..
Kalika- i am from BR too...born raised (but a bit older than you..)Nice to sorta meet you.

I think there's a higher risk of infection with Goretex, and the possibility
of the strands protruding through the skin if not placed deeply enough.
www.lipaugmentation.com has a good journal of the site owner's
experience with Goretex. 'Course, this doesn't happen with everyone (see
Genie's experience).
I had Alloderm implants 20 months ago (along with gobs of other
procedures) and it's still giving me a nice pout, better than I had before.
Had 3cc of collagen 8 months ago, disappeared within 3 months. But the
collagen had a built-in painkiller in it, so it hurts a lot less than restylane
(which has a burning sensation).
Hey i am just wondering if you tried the product and like it...i feel
my lips are too smal and always look weird in my modeling pics and i
have tried the lip venom and it works very little and i wanted bigger
lips but not injections..so let me know how it turned out for you!

have it. use it for work. after the "breaking in peroid"
or whatever it works as good as they say. I was considering lip
injections (mostly for the job) before I found this, and now I have it
I have shelved the idea of injections ... at least for now
Thanks for the tip! I just ordered mine! I have next to NO LIPS.
