karen,

Does Jessica Simpson use the fusion method now? If so does she use a particular kind like Great Lengths or Hair Dreams? Her hair looks so healthy and beautiful! I would love to find out what she uses and try it out.

I found out  my extensionist  has done Britney Spears hair (added some bonds)  and she said Britney uses the Hair Dreams. I was a little upset at that since Britneys hair is usually a mess and I just paid a bunch of money for the hairdreams system, but it could be just not taking good care of the hair.

Anyway, I was joking about Ken. I didn't really think he ruined her hair but I was wondering why she wore extensions when she had really great hair. How cool that you spent time with them and speak to Ken!!!!!

As for clip-ins, I wear my weft every day. I used to be a fusion girl but this is much cheaper and probably less damaging.

Have you heard of the Ojon products? I'm wondering what you think of that. I've been using the treatment and I find it good but not sure if it's better than JoJoba oil. Sorry to bring this topic up in this forum.

Hey Malibu,

Most of the big names wear extensions or wigs or both.  They often change their hair because it becomes a media event and also, they are often doing different movie, TV or performing gigs that they need different looks.  When Jess did Dukes Ken explained that they wanted to make sure that she separated her personal life and celebrity status from the movie role.  So she actually went shorter with that edgy long bob and then they put on extensions that were Great lengths for the movie.  Ken told me that they took them off and put them on for every "personal" appearance.  Which meant constantly.  UGH.  That would hurt to have to sit there for all of that taking them off/putting them back on.

He uses a lot of the PutOnPieces for her performances.  When she was at People's Choice he used three different looks, one short curly look which was one of the POP wigs and then she had clip ons for her performance where her  hair was super long.

She loves changing her look and thus is always going with clip ons, extensions, wigs, half wigs and etc., And she has a great hairdresser so why not?  And of course the budget.

Also...I know for a fact that Ken insists that she use really great conditioning products on her hair inbetween extensions and that she uses a lot of wigs and clip ons which will save her hair.  Ken just recently told me that Jess's hair is in the best condition it has been in years.  So all that good product & condioning is helping.

Yes...I have heard a lot about Ojon.  I have not used it though so I don't have an opinion about it.  I do love jojoba oil and have been using it on my own hair for the past 8 years very religiously.  I find it never gets greasy and I can even wear it during the day if my ends are dry.

Hi,

When she is wearing fushion, it is Great Lengths.  Her hairdresser love Great Lengths and has been using it for years.  A lot of celeb hairdressers use Great Lengths including Sally Herschberger.  Robert Hallowell who works with Geena Davis & Jennifer Love Hewitt & Mary Louise Parker & Lucy Liu......uses Great Lengths and recently he has been working with SoCap as well.

I am not as familiar with Hair Dreams.  I do know Brit's makeup artist but since Brit has been on an extended leave from performing she doesn't seem to be really working on her hair or makeup at the present time.  So I would probably be less inclined to worry about Britney as being a good role model for Hair Dreams at the present time.

And yes....a lot of the success or failure has to do with the skill of the person applying the fusion and the after care.

Hope that helps.

She is going to send me some samples to test with my own hair but I was not sure what would be best.  I am thinking that ponytails are best but she said that they are only synthetic and can't be styled with irons.  Some of the other pieces - the 10 piece sets - she said can be ironed and can be colored.

Just curious who has used these and if you have recommendations.  At this point my other biggest problem is matching their colors to my own hair since my hair was trashed last year by a newbie colorist and I need to try and match the odd colors that have grown out.

I have used the hairuwear bangs and I love them.   I Only wish they came in human hair and not just synthetic hair.  They're great because they come already layered, but you cut and layer them to better fit your style and face.
