GREAT JOB! I took the advice of someone else on this forum, I can't remember who but I did my roller set right after I washed out my conditioner and air dried in rollers. I did it last week and it came out pretty well. Not as nice as yours! It took a day to dry completely, but I had no where to go anyway . I'll try it again this week and post pictures.
I'm quickly realizing that I have no need for a professional stylist any more. Now if I could learn to do my own braids!

I love your hair in those pics. What kind of rollers did you use?
Thanks. They were the big gray ones that you have to put a roller clip in. I meant to take a pic of my hair rolled up but I forgot. I got the rollers at sally's.
Wow it looks professionally done, its so pretty I tried doing a roller set and it cam out looking a hot mess lol but I think I might give it another try

Two hours under the dryer was well worth it I telll you ... Your hair looks great with the curls. It amazing what we can do with our hair if we can take the time out and a bit of sweat!
I get what you mean by saving yourself money if you can do it yourself. I won't pay for steam treatments like I used to years ago . I now sit in the steam room for a couple hours and pamper my hair with all sorts of conditoners and treatments .

your hair is pretty...the pony tails are adorable!!
Hair Type- 4a/b *transitioning front of my head*
Length-ranges from 5-7 inches =)
Products- Garnier Fructis S & S Poo, Lustrasilk Shea Butter Mango Conditioner and Cantu-Leave in =)
Thanks cmesweet! I wouldn't be scared because you have great hair. I was cracking up at myself when I looked at those ponytails though. They were cute but I'm just too old for it so it looked funny.
If you ever do a rollerset you should try it out. I think it makes it easy especially for naturals because you have better control.

Girl, you did a GREAT JOB! Not only that but the pony tails look off the hook too...I would go out like that too. Why pay 30 dollars when you can do it better than alot of stylists? Keep it up.
You need to mine too ...I hope you aren't scared with all of this hair I have.

Okay, I just did my first rollerset on myself. I've done loads on other people but never on myself because I was intimidated since my hair is so long and curly there was just no way I could reach the hair on the back of my head and still come out with a smooth set so I came up with my own way. I put my hair in about 11 ponytails (pics in album) and rolled each section up with a big roller. I used diluted Lottabody, a small amount of moisturizer and wgo to seal in moisture. I had to sit under the dryer for 2 hours!! I thought I was gonna die. I think it came out good though and I'm glad I can do it myself now instead of paying $30 to get it done.
