I have shoulder length hair and I want it to mid back or longer fast. Have any of you tried 600 or more mcg of Biotin by itself and experieinced faster hair growth? I heard it was wonderful for getting hair length..
Commited to long hair by 6 months from now

After my hair started to fall out Dr. prescribed it. It helped to lesson my fallout and I not only grew back what I lost but my hair grew in thicker and quicker than ever before. BUT...er...how do I say this... hope you have a good razor as you will be shaving your legs every single morning! And hair may grow hair where no hair should ever grow! :-) My hair grew a 1/4-1/2 inch more with it... but I dropped down to 5mcg and sometimes 3 as it is working just as well. But dont forget silica... that makes a huge difference as well with the biotin. I remember someone on this board saying that growing your hair too quickly is not such a great idea. You want it to grow in nice and strong. Maybe if that person reads this, he/she could expand on that for you.

Yea, well I don`t have a problem with the thickness and strength of my hair because it already is thick and strong. My hair is very full too. The overall health of my hair is excellent.
My hair just needs a boost as far as growth. It doesn`t grow slow because after each touch up I get, less than two weeks after, there is noticeable growth. But, if I want my hair mid back by June or so, it`s going to require a boost. My hair has the potential to grow long, I know it does because about two years ago I got it cut drastically because I wasn`t taking care of it like I should have and it was suffering major breakage and damage. But, since then it has grown back better than ever!
Now, I am starting to find long hair sooooo attractive and I am committed to growing my hair out. It is about shoulder length now. I want to try HF37 but my budget can`t do it right now! So, I wanted to try something to give my hair some type of push to go over its regular growth rate until I can afford something more. That`s why I am so interested in this biotin. Any other responses would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for your reply!
everyone is different and has different results with supplements. since biotin isn`t that expensive, give it a try for a few months. i seen it in target for about $3.00 for 100 caps/ 1000mcg. along with a multi vitamin and a healthy diet, that might be all your hair needs to grow as fast as it can.
I`f you do take biotin make sure that you`re taking at least 3,000 mcg or you won`t get any growth. I take Country life biotin 5 mg and Freeda Biotin together, one at dinner and one before bed time and I have seen great results.
I`ve tried biotin 600mg. And i`ve noticed a different, of course its too earler to say, but there is a slight change in my hair fall out. i also have to shave my legs twice as much. but so far its working and i`ll keep taking it until my hair improves. It might take some time since i did put my hair through a lot, but my hair is waist length now. And i want to keep it growing longer. Though i heard sometimes the length of ones hair depends on ones genetic make-up. So if biotin helps keep it in place, it might not help grow it longer if my genes don`t allow it. Usually hair falls out when its out grown the cycle, so another hair pops out in its place. That sucks, because it starts all over again. I`m not sure that applies, with hair loss? Does one still see the white root if indeed the cycle of the strand has ended?
where do you purchase biotin? what mg do you go with .. there are so many out there with different mgs!!! im confused!! how long do you take this for and do you take it forever? or just when your hair reaches to where you desire. lol. ter b
In ref:::I take Country life biotin 5 mg and Freeda Biotin together, one at dinner and one before bed time and I have seen great results. where do you order this biotin at?? why both of these types of vito`s?? sorry...???!!

Biotin works well. When I needed to lose some weight I used Slim Fast and it has Biotin in it and everyone noticed that my hair growth a lot at the time. I also had a hairdresser who has had her hair reach past her ankles twice in her life and told me that the only thing that she uses is biotin. I have seen good results. I haven`t used it lately and this reminds me that I should go and purchase more.
I'm growing my hair out too, after a horrible mistake haircut. I asked around, and heard biotin was good. I take my daily multivitamin which contains biotin & a 1000 strenght biotin. I found it at Target, for 2 or 3 dollars. I haven't noticed faster growth, it is stronger though. Maybe it is growing faster, i'm just watching it! hehe I'm not sure about msm i've heard about it, but i've only seen it sold at gnc, which honestly scares me. They have some scary and damaging herbal stuff. Has anyone used it before?
