QuoteReplyTopic: Tips for Sectioning Hair? Posted: March 30 2006 at 4:22pm
Hey ladies,
So I'm here...Protac strip in one hand, PH weft in the other.
My hair's never been this short before, so I can't just throw it in a
ponytail when I section it. I'm using clips, but I'm still not getting
the parts as "clean" as I'd like, and I'm worried about strays getting
in the mix.
Jenny thats one of the nice things about the protac....you dont have to get exactly perfect sectioning! Just get your part as straight as possible...but dont fret if its a tiny bit crooked! And LOTS ans LOTS of clips to keep the strays clipped up!
Yeah, tons of clips! That all I use, because of my millions of layers,
ponytail things don't work either. I have different sizes and stuff, it helps
alot, a few big ones hold most of it in place, then some smaller ones keep
the strays away!

I'm not doing the full install just yet but I'm putting in a weft at the bottom to see how it goes. After all the bleaching breakage, I'm still a little gunshy....
Those big velcro strips work great for sectioning short hair. I got some from New Concepts, but I think that Super Hair Factory sells them too. If you use them, becareful, because they tend to pull hair a bit when you go to remove them.
I
used to have that problem a lot (those little stray hairs are so
annoying!) and i just used a bunch of bobby pins. I would grab a
section, put it in place with a bobby pin, and put another one over it
so it looked like an x (to lock it in).
