I put about 4 oz total of 14" hair on my head with protac. I put 2-3 double-wefted rows in the back and 1 single weft on the top back row. With 3 double and 1 single my hair was really thick (almost too thick since I am used to having hardly any hair). I found that the 2 doubled wefts and the single weft at the top felt the best overall.
The jury is still out for me as far as using shrinkies or microrings on the sides and top back. I have done the installs both ways with fine results.

The protacs do slip out of place a bit right away with me but usually stay attached good for 2-3 weeks. I am not alway careful when I brush and since the protac is so easy to install I don't mind re-installing it every 3 weeks or so. I have to tell you though, one thing that is really nice about the wefts with the tape is that I never have any painful pulling when I brush them (maybe that's why I am not as gentle). Strand methods make me be a littler more gentle when brushing to avoid pulling out my hair!

These sound like a good choice, I am just a little clueless as to how exaclty you install them. I didn['t really fully understand the demo on shrink***.net.
I don't get the double/tripple wefts on one thing of tape, lol, maybe I am just dumb when it comes to this!

hehe....I have pictures! These are tapes that I cut down the middle and only use half of the tape. But you can do the same thing with the full sized tape too.
One row of weft on the tape
A very light brushing of LG before adding the second rwo of weft
Add the 2nd row staggering or overlapping the track...so the track sticks to the tape over top of the 1st track:
I use Protac for the back of my head, I put tons of hair in the sides
and crown and even some bottom rows in the very base of my neck with
the silicone microrings but I just can't reach the middle of the
back. I'd say I have between 1-2 oz in to fill in what I can't do
with the rings.
The silicone microrings are amazing, I did install about 10 shrinkies
and all but 2 are gone........I have lost one silicone microring in 2
1/2 months and my hair is very slippery :)
Wearing 22" 8oz Tease I tips installed with silicone microrings.

I think you will find the protac install to be a breeze after doing your own shr**** ies thingie installs.
You wil probably understand better once you get the strips and start playing with them. They really are easy to use. And Sherrie's pics were very helpful to me (*THANKS SHERRIE!*) when I went to try the protacs for the first time.
I use 1 single weft for the top/crown area in the back- the two rows of wide double-wefts for the middle back. I then use one more single weft for the bottom-most row near the nape of my neck. That way I can wear my hair up in a higher ponytail w/out the protac being visible or getting pulled.
In regards to your other post about the LG- you can use the LG to glue two wefts together- then put those doubled wefts into/onto the protac.
